From a neutral perspective -

* Harsh on Judd and Kruezer (2 absolute goers who put everything in). Kruezer down on last year but still worth his weight

For a tall in his third year, being asked to be number 1 Ruck AND pinch hit up forward is a big ask.

Im not sure how many other 21 year old Rucks in the AFL could do that Job as well as Kruezer did it.

Judd is a one man band.

* Spine spot on (small forwards surprisingly worked for a while, not anymore)

When you are one dimensional you can get found out pretty quickly.

* Spot on with Simpson, very important

Glad someone else sees it.

Been copping a hard tag for the past few weeks.

Drafting harsh on PSD pick BUT many have excused Warnock and McLean due to injury but both were injury prone when recruited, with Brock rarely fully fit for Demons and Warnock spending stints out as well so I think giving high draft picks for injury prone players is a risk that hasn't paid off (McLean especially atm).

Its sensationalism to target PSD picks (invariably used for list gap fillers and second chances) that didnt go on to be stars.

Then to single out two injured blokes as trades that 'didnt work out' (in thier first and second seasons respectively) is a touch unfair.

I think it is fair in the sense that both Warnock and McLean were under a known injury cloud when we recruited them. That isn't a criticism of the players, but the decision to risk on them. So far it hasn't paid off. Time will tell.

Scotland needs to kick more from 50.

He is one of the few blokes capable of doing so regularly.

It would be nice. I think he has kicked 3 this year, and the lack of players who can do this really hurts us in terms of the clogged up backline. One of the reasons that Fev was so good was that 55 wasn't a problem, and he could even get them from 60, which just opens up so much more space than needing to be within 45.

I remember seeing the stats within a week or 2 of the StKilda game, and we had by far the most goals out of all the teams kicked from within 15 metres. That makes it easy for the opposition to decide to clog up the backline.

It makes it an easy choice for the opposition to clog up the backline.

The current lack of workrate by our much vaunted elite mids is allowing this congestion to happen by not working hard enough.

For an open forward line, we simply need to work harder, and be prepared to take the game on (as in the Saints game) in order to beat the zoning/ flooding back into our F50.

The biggest kick in the ass that is contained witin the article is the doubt cast, whether true or not, there is now discussion that Judd is not in the top 10 in the league...

Absolutely damming on the current playing group that we have taken someone whom is clearly in the top 3 players in the league and burdened him to the point that he cannot produce at his optimum level.

Doesn't take coaching or playing talent to limit Judds output at the moment. Its too easy to sit someone on his hip and team smash him each and every time he goes to the ball.

Its like hunting with lions, seperate from the herd, gang attack, meanwhile the rest of the victim's flock flees to safety.

FMD-All this talk about disposal efficiency, fu%&ken god couldn't hit a target with the weight Judd is carrying around at the moment

Honestly, Footy has changed since my day,
Why did we feel the need to trade pick 11 for someone to block for one bloke,

Why not just get aj or the like to "start sheperding" Its a novel idea i know,
Sometimes I just shake my head at the frivolity of it all
