Lost my last 3 games now, first two went into OT and the last one I lost by a point, ready to kill someone if I lose my next. Playing as the Knicks and really struggling defensively as a result.
 
Coming off the bench all season at the Nuggets we finished first in the Western Conference. Came back from 3-2 down to beat the eighth seeded Warriors and then beat the Mavs 4-1 where I finally got a starting spot. Won the West with a 7 game series vs the Thunder. Now winner takes all game 7 vs Miami in the finals after being down 3-1. Typical Lebron struggling since game 5 when we started the comeback. Miami blew a 10 pt second half lead in game 6 as well.
 
Just finished my 3rd season with my pg. Won the title to go back2back with Memphis, rated 99 and won the mvp during the season (avg 30ppg, 9 assists, 5.5boards, 2.5 steals) as we ended up going 67-15. Fair to say I was a beneficiary of that trade glitch before it was patched as my starting 5 was me, courtney lee, melo, dirk, marc gasol. Pretty fun team since I didn't just have to take over every game to make sure we won and could just run a fun offense. Decided not to go for the 3 peat but instead take my talents to Portland on a 4 year 14.14mil a year contract to team up with Lamarcus Aldridge. Goal for this season is to drop my scoring numbers a bit and average 11 - 12 assists per game, gotta try and get the defensive player of the year award as well.

This is an awesome game, up to the NBA finals in my 5th season. I didn't win the championship until my fourth season, however have won the MVP 3 times and 5 time all star I think I am one of being a hall of famer.

Couple of things are pretty annoying though and hopefully they are addressed in 2k13.

The key game thing is kind of boring after a while, you just keep playing the same teams. In my 5th season, it was really a struggle to get through to the playoffs (where it gets awesome) because you basically just playing the same 4 or 5 teams repeatedly. I think it would be better if you could just nominate what you want as the key game.

I think the fact that it forces you to play games as well is kind of annoying. Sometimes I just want to skip forward a bit, especially considering my player completely dominates most games.

The trading logic is pretty ridiculous

The press conference thing gets very boring

The 'spark' that they have is nearly always the team that is leading at the end of the 3rd period.

If they could tidy up a few of these things ... nba 2k13 could be 11/10.
 
Is there any incentives at all in sticking around with bad teams? I know maybe you get endorsements quicker but that seems about it. With my PF I got drafted to the Pacers and they were so bad. I came off the bench only in the first season and they won like 25 games all year. They also have like 8 key games all year if that so hard to build skill points.

From previous experience with my PG (3 teams in 3 years so far trying to find best fit) I know the game will always trade you to the team you want. So went to Thunder in my 2nd season. Finished top of the West. Night and day playing with a fair few decent teammates or a couple star teammates.

I upped the difficulty to Superstar too. Have to focus so hard all game and not make mistakes. Thing that annoys me though is I can get A+ grades, beast it for like 20PPG+ on on 60 or 70% FG/10-15 RPG, 4-5 blocks (season average only 14/8 mostly because of simming) etc yet my teammates in this mode are making the dumbest plays they wouldn't previously. So even if I play flawlessly we aren't even guranteed a win even as the most talented team against any team.

Would be nearly impossible for me to play better in some of these games after I've mastered post moves. Surely though if I can beast it individually on Superstar it means I can handle it and shouldn't need to go back to All-Star? Another frustrating thing I forgot to add is when im benched and I sim my team catches up, hits shots, etc. When im playing they will consistently miss wide open shots, do dumb things, etc. WTF? Jesus christ this isn't even the hardest difficulty. :eek:

Agree with those. Good points. Would also add the commentary gets stale real quickly. Guess it's the same with every sports game but feels like you hear the same things over and over, sometimes 2, 3, 4 times each game.

Could probably recall all their sayings. "Do you love groove, Kevin?" "I love groove".

I'm also just about ready to murder Doris Burke and end her monotone, repetitive ramblings for next years version. "This team got hot in the third and didn't look back". Every game, seriously?

I feel your Pacer pain! Though I reckon ive had about 6 or 7 key games already out of 29 that ive played

I've tried twice to get traded and they 'werent able to find a suitable trade' both times. Very frustrating.

Yeah this seems to happen every week for me. Teammate AI cant hit regulation jumpers or layups and score about 15 points between them in 1 1/2 quarters, but if im on the bench they suddenly score 12 points in 48 seconds.

I'm on the Clippers (Paul is at the Jazz, lol) and this happens in a very isolated instance for me.

If I pass to Gordon coming off the screen to shoot the three, he'll shoot at about 40%. If a CPU teammate passes to him coming off the screen, he'll shoot at 90%.

Very frustrating but I'm currently averaging 10 assists a game abusing the pick and roll with Kaman and Griffin so it's not so bad :p
 
Finally got traded, though I requested a trade to the Magic and ended up at the Pistons?? Teammates are a little better at the Pistons but we are still sitting bottom of the conference.
 
On a 15 game losing streak with Philly now, haven't won since the opening two games of the season. I am playing every game in my second season and now I am a starter I am getting more Key games which is awesome.

I had key games against Atlanta due to Josh Smith and another matchup which I can't remember now, glad that has changed up.

My first request for a trade has expired though so I'm giving it another crack.

Also in my 2nd season at Philly, might stick it out before looking for a trade (even though we are also playing badly)

Raptors somehow have CP3 and is leading the EC :p

Just got traded to Magic finally. 3 clubs in the first 37 matches. I seem to get a key matchup every 2nd match, either due to having to go up against a star player, or against a rival team. I'd say ive had more key matches than non key matches it seems.
 
I finally got my trade from the Suns to the Sixers.

I think the way my player played in the first two games of the new year that they would be sad to lose me. However, the Sixers also landed Aldridge, George and Hansborough. I guess they traded Williams, Brand and Turner away.
 
I'm in my 8th year and have been selected as a PG all star starter every year (besides 1st and 2nd year) but when the game starts I'm on the bench, has anyone had this happen to them?
 
Hasnt happened to me but i remember in 2k11 if u didnt have good endurance, no matter how well u played you wouldnt be a starter.

I made allstar sg first year :P
I play all games though an only just past allstar week.
Wish i could increase the difficulty :(

Anyone else have problems with billboards an sponsorships after trades??
I got a few billboards etc early but after i got traded to the club i wanted to go to i just got the face of the team billboard an since then absolutely nothing despite a 50point game an many other 20plus games in a row, some triple doubles etc.

Might have to start over again with increased difficulty an hope i get drafted by the team i want just incase trades effect billboards, sponsorships etc

game got a bug in it when I finished the season, had to restart

decided to make a 7'2 centre

absolutely destroyed the league after being drafted to the jazz

points leader and ppg leader
steals and spg, blocks and bpg in my rookie season

all-nba 1st team
all-defensive 1st team
all-rookie 1st team

MVP
rookie of the yr

currently in finals tied 1-1


just hoping it does f-up again

If its not letting you finish the championship you need to turn off auto save (in the MP area)
 
I was really enjoying playing an online association but the league I was in had people who would constantly veto trades for no reason and refused to organise times to play games so I quit.

It was fun though for awhile.
