I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this already, is NBA not popular here?
This game came out on the 2nd of october and i picked it up a day later.

It's probably one of the best NBA games i've ever played, everything just.... works.

Playing Career mode as a point guard / shooting guard. Was taken at #11 in the draft by the Portland Trailblazers and i've played 43 games this season so far, ranked the #6 point guard in the whole league based on performance.

Does anyone have this game or is planning to get it?

Loved 2k12, will buy this but it was either FIFA or 2k13...FIFA won.

Got it the other day, not a huge fan of the VC system, mainly because i had to spend points I could've used on stats just to get my guy a freaking knee and elbow "sleeve" Also for some reason the play display keeps turning itself off.

Got drafted to the rockets at I think pick 15 or 16, shooting guard but decided to go taller than previous years despite being less accurate. First time I went 5'11, then went yeah nah way too short so added a few inches at 6'2. this time went for 6'6 Kobe build clone. Averaging about 12ppg, 4apg, 5rpg and just got promoted to 6th man after about 10 games, getting rotated between SG and SF mainly but have copped everything from PG to C as well, got destroyed in those few minutes as C.

There's no reason to delete a thread about a game in a game's board.

2K12's thread had over 19 pages and almost 500 posts, that's hardly dead. If this gets close, then it's done it's job.

Actually had the original NBA 2K on Sega Dreamcast , had a few versions over the years and thought they were all the same ,so is this one worth getting back board ?

Just for reference the basketball forum had 28 pages and 680 posts. Like it matters anyway.

Feel free to post in this thread as it is in the right spot. But the one on the basketball forum currently has 26 pages and 633 posts and the game has been out a few days.

As Tempest said, he asked for the deletion. I was only responding to that.

The post/page count I mentioned about 2K12 was in response to your 'the previous threads of 2k10/11/12 have all died in the video game thread' and it seems that the VG Board 2K12 thread wasn't that far behind.

At the end of the day, NBA 2K13 is a Video Game and this is the Video Games Board, so it can stay and if it doesn't get a lot of posts, so be it. But at least people will be able to chat and discuss and whatever else about the game and not be overwhelmed by a huge amount of posts like on the Basketball board (where queries and comments could be overlooked more easily).

Yeh not really a big fan of Basketball until the NBA season starts, that's when i usually get the game. Just can't et myself to pay $69 or whatever the price is as i know i won't play it yet. FIFA 13 is keeping me busy anyway.

6'8 Small Forward, 3 Point Specialist. Managed to be the 4th pick in the draft and landed at Cleveland. Scored 38 against the Thunder in a losing effort in my last game. Team is about 11-7. Aiming for a ring and to do what LeBron could never do.

My teammates just can't hit a shot, thats my issue.
I get majority of my assists in the pick and roll game or on the break.

Get better teammates?

But seriously, if you can talk to your GM about aquiring some players like some spot-up 3 point shooters or a good lowpost scorer might help. Also, if you are on a team that doesn't like to run a lot of plays, that wont help. Maybe look to get traded.

You need the web connection to use any accessory... Really shits me off since I like to have mine wear the same gear as I do (although there is a shight range of long hair styles). Have to spend VC to buy them and then keep the net connection which has failed recently both times i've tried to play it to keep them. The ones with a buff i understand but just to wear a knee guard and sweatbands, pain in the ass.

Me too. Getting a bit ridiculous though because I've scored over 60 twice and over 40 another five or so times and I've only played like 11 matches. Highest scorer in the league and already broke the Cleveland most points tally... In my fourth game.

Finally picked this up, but as I work away every 2nd week I can't use the net now mp is linked either to the net or offline as offline you earn SP not VC so now I can't continue mp online, pretty ****ing annoying setup what does it really matter if I use it offline should just update when you reconnect damn you 2k!!
