Had the game for a couple months, still an amateur. Highest rating I've had is only a B, but hey, whatever. Was originally drafted to the Grizzlies, as a PG, and had some decent games...in my second year though I was getting hardly any minutes at PG, which I found frustrating, so I asked for a trade...ended up at the Clippers, played two games off the bench, all at PG, with a couple of B's in both. Not terrible.

^ I got A+ regularly in 2K11 and 2K12. Out of all of the games i have played (roughly 4 seasons worth) in 2K13, the best i have gotten is A- and that is once in every 10 games or so.

With a 7'2 centre I get A+ very easily. Just post up, score, rebound easily and block easily, there you go.

How did you get a 7'2" centre?

Kelvin Klondike is a 6'3" PG drafted to Miami Heat. Best I've got so far is a C+ after 4 games, but I'm still very much learning the control and game basics, still C+ is a step up on the Ds I was getting.

Just "position" - centre and then height to 7'2?

Setting screens also propels your grade up easily.

Best I've got so far is a B. Bob Plate, from memory, is a 6"7 PG. Always accidentally get reach in fouls

I get A+ Easily now, I'm a 6'9 PF, Starting with the Houston Rockets.
Last game was probably my best yet as I got my first triple double
30 points 17 rebounds 10 assists

I play association only, but I ve just started up another one.

After my Thunder got knocked out by the Lakers in round 2, Ive started up a Mavs association using the 2011 rosters.

This game is awesome; ive never played an NBA game well into August.

Deleting my MyPlayer account so I can start from scratch, only had 5 games, want to redo my player now that I know a bit more about the game.

Finished the download on ps3, jumped into My Player... B- in the rookie showcase (15 points, 20 assists being the highlight of my stats), interviewed by the Suns, Rockets and Magic (so 12, 14, 19th picks). Wound up being drafted by Houston, can't escape them in 2K games (drafted by them in 2K10, 2K11 and 2K12's My Player mode at one point or another... although in alternate console versions in past games i usually get drafted by Indiana).

Crashed back to earth the first couple of games, barely made an impact (but since i made cameo appearances with 50 seconds or less left in each quarter it didn't make a difference). Turned the corner in my second last game, where i scored the game winning basket that needed to be reviewed... but it was counted.

Speaking of which for some reason i never got to see that play out on the pc version on 2K13 (everything from the player doing the fist pump for scoring on hte buzzer, to the referee watching the monitor to check if it counts or not). Whereas i have made it happen several times on the 360 over the last few weeks and once again today on ps3. I was able to do it regularly on 2K12 on pc, makes me wonder if the 2K13 version is gimped and the animations were taken out.... or if i have just been unlucky.

The game after that i had started to play better and score a little more freely, had a regular season game high of 15 points, but caught a few rebounds and managed a few steals.

Seemed no matter how many games i tried to get dropped, with constant fouls, F grade games and constant half and full court shots , i was still averaging the same time on the court and would be playing the following week. Got bored after 10 or so games of this and retired.

Final game i managed to sink one half court shot, went out on a high if i do say so myself

I retired after my 2nd game, when it showed my career book I had only one highlight which was my debut game. Had 0 for everything.

Finally cracked into the starting line-up (replacing Monta Ellis).

After getting yelled off the court by the coach in my first game for a shocking 2nd half (first half scoring 10 points and playing well - second half only 2 points and turnovers, etc.), my 2nd game was much improved.

Finished with 13 points, 2 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 block and a steal from 29 minutes.

There's a lot more pressure when starting to score and really do well, it's kind of tough, but I'm liking the added minutes. Gotta work on my shot more though as I'm not going at a great FG%.

So far I've had Easy Breezy, sounded better than it reads and Clutch (not too bad), I'm thinking I may have to make a player known as The Beast (homage to Eric Wallace).

Feel like this is becoming a dear diary thread for me. But every match something new and interesting is happening.

Had my best match by a mile in my last game, have changed up my jump shot (just wanted something smoother - those wondering went Release 72, Jump Shot 36) and now am shooting far better, my last match shooting 7/13 with 2/2 from the 3 point line. Scored a A- for my grade with a game of 16 points, 3 rebounds (2 offensive) and 12 assists in 28 minutes.

Only 18 games into my career, but it's extremely enjoyable right now.

Would be up for a game tomorrow night j0rdy1.

Tony Parker has the best release imo if you're using a pg in MyCareer. Nice quick release.

I use a different jump and shot release for each version, can't decide.... I find it easiest on pc. But then i have to adjust my timing with the 360 and ps3 versions (the pc version plays more fluidly and decent FPS, whereas i have to play slower on the console versions). I am not used to playing it with the ps3 controller as yet, i keep making mistakes i would not make on the pc or even on the 360 version.

I have to fight to make my shots, on the ps3 thus far i end up starting slow and having to build my FG% from the bottom to something respectable (where as on pc, i'd keep it 80% most of the time, before it drops to 45-60%). A lot of the games i have played are only bit part cameos, and because of the short time i get... i only manage 2-6 points and sometimes 1-2 assists. I have a huge breakout game (such as my most recent where i scored 27 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 fluke of a block), then its back to scoring under 10 points and playing badly.

Currently 6 - 11. When we lose we lose by 10 - 30 points. Although we beat Miami by 20 , we lost to the Lakers by 10.

The game is great when it's working even though I'm absolutely hopeless as a player at the moment.

Yeah, it's such a pity about the server. It's like it was a complete after thought they put in just because they had to. They really need to get it right for 2K14.
