Well this has been a mess. The patch was announced 2 weeks ago, now all this rubbish is happening.

It's frustrating because, based on OS forums, 95% of posters say it massively improves the game.

Yeah I haven't played the game in about a month because MyCareer was especially frustrating me.

Need patch NAO!

Hearing that no patch is still out here and that online input delay is still a problem I'm glad I traded this in weeks ago.

Patches take approx 3-5 days to get through submission. I'm guessing they failed first submission into the UK and had to re-submit, which is why there was the initial delay.

I'd expect the patch to hit within the next couple of days.

Why would it pass in the US but not UK?

Also there's been people who have contacted Microsoft and Sony and been told if they had the patch they would have rolled it out already.

There are beyond numerous reasons all too much to mention here.

US can find things that the UK guys don't, UK guys can find things that the US guys don't. The UK (ie EU) version also has localisation to deal with which is a huge minefield.

Nobody at MS or Sony who people contact are ever going to give out the information of patch status, it's a massive break of their confidentiality agreements with publishers and developers.

Them saying "We would have released it if we had it" instead of saying nothing makes no sense.

Neither Sony or MS actually 'release' patches, so it doesn't make sense to say they'd have released it anyway. :)

Then why tell someone they would? It's shit form from 2K, Sony and Microsoft.
Because the people they're likely talking to, have no idea what they're talking about and are purely assuming things. The level of people that would be getting calls from members of the public wouldn't have the knowledge of the goings on of patch submission processes and their subsequent releases.

It's really not shit form from any of them.

I love the game I don't play online alot so I can't complain about lag but I love the game..Only thing I hate is I haven't been able to pin the ball against the backboard yet or do tip-ins.. need to figure that out.

I'm hoping so, it was the reason I traded the game. If it fixes the input lag I'll get it again right away.
The input lag is worldwide too I think. All the YouTubers play though it, I don't know how it's possible doing so without frustration. This is the most important thing they need to do in my opinion

I asked the guy's on Operation Sports if it has been fixed, apparently the defense is slightly better but there's still a delay on offense. 2k shit me , to busy fixing unnecessary crap like shoes when people complain and making sure MyTeam gets packs and crap instead of focusing on gameplay first.

Ah damn! Hopefully the keep updating it all year, but now we just need to the patch to drop in Aus so we can try it for ourselves!

As someone who's never touched MyTeam or ultimate team concepts, hearing about a Onyx Kobe or a Diamond Durant just annoys me.

I have no idea what these things are, and why I should I care about them.

The sheer arrogance of the game's PR is more confounding than infuriating.

After last year's debacle, you'd think the team learned how to engage with customers and placate them. Consumer anger was magnified because the PR reps (i.e. the link between the game and the community) essentially ignored complaints other than a few brief fleeting remarks.

Same thing now. While they will tweet out crap about people wanting some Lebron myteam rare metal card thing, and will hype up this rubbish endlessly, getting them to talk about this major consumer issue is like extracting blood from a stone.

This means the problem goes from "We havent got the patch yet" to "We havent got the patch yet because 2K has lied to us or doesnt care about the community, and isnt letting us know why or when we get it".

I would have thought improving the relationship with the public was a core goal of public relations.

If the reason is, we havent submitted the patch because our staff is on holidays and they deserve to be on holidays, the anger would subside a lot (Im not suggesting this is the reason). Reasonable people would understand. But it's the lies, and half truths, and careful answers that make people a lot angrier than they would be with some transparency.
