NBA Draft

Well i'm on the NBA Draft so i'll post what happens. If any trades occur etc.... No surprise that Cleveland just took LeBron James. Pistons currently selecting their 2nd pick...almost certaintly Milicic followed by Carmello Anthony to Denver. I'll keep y'all posted

Chris Bosh at number 4 to Toronto.
Bit of a surprise at 5 with Miami taking Dwyane Wade, i thought he'd go a little deeper

My view on the first 5.

Cleveland - LeBron James.
Nothing much to be said. Multi talented, versatile player than seems mature in both body and attitude.

Detroit - Darko Milicic.
A big strong bodied player than will help the Pistons to no end. Will combine well with Wallace and can also provide another scoring threat from deep.

Denver - Carmelo Anthony.
I rate Melo very highly. He will eventually become a franchise player for the Nuggets and truth be told, they need something!

Toronto - Chris Bosh.
A man compared to Tim Duncan can't be too shabby.

Miami - Dwyane Wade.
I don't understand this one. A combo guard that struggles to run the offense? Is that really what the Heat need to improve?

I don't think Olawakandi (sp?) is a priority signing anymore :D

7. Chicago Kirk Hinrich
Thought he'd slip to 8th and Milwaukee, TJ Ford has to be 8th pick to Milwaukee then i guess.

Chi-Town obviosuly brought in Kirk to play with Crawford in Jay Williams' absence. Pretty good move and he's a pretty good defender.

The Bucks chose TJ Ford? Surely they'll trade him on. Surely.

Yep chose Ford. In that case Payton is gone and free's up some salary.
Looking forward to New York's pick Collison maybe?

Michael Sweetney.

NY now have Thomas, Dice, Weatherspoon, Harrington and Sweetney as undersized big fellas.

sweet mother of god. ANOTHER 6-8 Power Forward in Mike Sweetney....quality player, now we've got some off-season trading to do

Jarvis Hayes should be a good fit in Washington with MJ gone.

I can't see where Mickael Pietrus fits in GS yet with J-Rich there.

The Grizz pick a PG in Marcus Banks. That leaves them with Brevin Knight, Jason Williams, Earl Watson and Marcus Banks. I sniff a trade.

There's also a rumour going about that Miami are looking to trade Dwyane Wade off and that GS are looking at moves.

The man with the name Zarko Cabarkapa to the Suns.

Now, New Orleans picked a PF in David West. Excellent - PJ Brown to the Spurs, please!:D :D

Boston take the home grown lad, Troy Bell. Smart move because they need a dang Point Guard.:p

Not for long, first trade news...

Boston trade #16 Troy Bell and #20 Dahntay Jones to Memphis for #13 Marcus Banks.

They still get their PG though.

Thank god for that.

At least we've managed to get something else to go along with yet another PG.

We desperately needed an athletic 2 guard, and we got that in Jones.

Another Blue Devil comes to Memphis.

Celtics get: Marcus Banks (No. 13) and Memphis' No. 27 pick
Grizzlies get: Troy Bell (No. 16) and Dahntay Jones (No. 20)

Celtics get a legit Centre in Kendrick Perkins.

And my Spurs pick.... Leandrinho Barbosa, at 6'3 PG out of Brazil.

Very interesting. I'm personally hoping its for a trade for a big uy later on. If not, this could be the end of Speedy in SA for sure.

Or, we will leave Barbosa abroad to develop as we are currently doing with Luis Scola and Roberta Jaktovas.

I wanted a big guy. I was certain we'd get a big guy. But nope. CIA Coach Pop is in action. ;)

I'll see what develops...

The Mavs got a steal in Josh Howard. The Spurs must be planning something with Barbosa or be very high on him to let Howard slip.

Yeah, Renegade. All the Spurs fans in the Spurs chat we getting excited when Lampe kept falling and falling. He's a good pick.

In my pick em draft league i thought Miami would take Lampe at number 5! I'm shocked no one took him.
