Anyone make big money on the Clippers yesterday?

I had Clippers, Atlanta, Denver ... & Toronto +10.5... Toronto obviously struck a dagger into my heart.

sorry, haven't been on for a few days.
you only need to verify yourself in order to withdraw funds. you can bet as much as you like, just can't withdraw the money.

Im struggling to find any real value in todays games, perhaps take NJ, Detroit and Dallas in a multi but even then i wouldn't be very confident as Chicago could finally decide to pull their finger out.

Anyone else keen on anything?

Nothing much. I've had a dabble on GSW and Washington. Both at over $3 and whilst they have had bad starts to the season they are both capable of winning. Plus that whole choking thing must still be playing on Dallas' minds.

Yeah there aren't pure multis on Betfair - you can't have Detroit -3.5 into Lakers +2.5 into Carlton to win the 2008 flag, but there are some multis available.

If you go to NBA 07/08, Fixtures, the 11.35 Acca market has all the combos in head to head multis: Golden State/Chicago/Washington is 22.00 for example.

Line: For instance Toronto today is (-2.0) @ $1.91 and (-3.5) @ $2.00. And Philly is (+2.0) @ $2.10.

I get the straight, the handicap and the total scores, but the line makes little sense to me.

i had a little trouble with this initially too.

so for toronto -2.0...you're betting on toronto to win by more than 2 points.
or to explain it.....toronto's score - 2pts still being a win to toronto

Philly +2.0 - philly to get within 2 points of toronto, or win.
or to explain it.......philly's score + 2 points being a win to philadelphia.

so if toronto win 99 to 98 and you bet on philly +2.0, you still win.

(98 + 2 = 100) therefore the result is 99 to 100

Whattagun explained it well. Quite simply, +2.0 means you're adding to the team's score, and if they're ahead, your bet wins. The opposite applies for -2.0, you're subtracting 2.0 from your team's score.

This should be made a sticky in the punting board - the question comes up so often

just found out how the free bet works at sportingbet

you bet all of it on whatever you like (only a single bet)

you take the winnings, the original free bet value disappears.

i didnt want to waste it by getting greedy, so i bet on the detroit red wings @1.45

they won

Well the Hornets Nets game is very close. A big 3rd qtr help the Nets get back into the game.

Jazz have started off well would be great to see both teams score 34 points in the 1st qtr.

Denver are out to a nice lead, but Cavs are shooting badly.

Had Hornets -1.5. Chris Paul puts them up by 2 with 2 seconds left and they had a 4 point play from Mo Pete just 20 seconds before. What a crazy game. I think I'll vomit if NJ score.

I've had a multi bet nearly everyday and have struggled. I've only had 2 wins so far.

The Hornets made life hard but came through with the goods.

I'm going okay. Nothing impressive as yet. I rarely go a multi. The amount of times I actually land one, there have been 5 or 6 that get away. The money is just not there.
