Pretty sure we always had a weekly thread in here last year.

Aaaaaanyway.

Set your fantasy line-ups people, lay down your season long bets and do a little shimmy coz we are about to get underway!

Woooh!

Opening night has some great matchups ahead with two of the East powerhouses battling it out as the champs begin their defense. One would figure they will be too strong at home against the Brons, I mean Cavs.
Then we have a nice little middle match with some Aussie flavour too it. Number 1 pick Derrick Rose begins what many (including myself, and not just because I drafted him in a keeper league :D) predict will be a HOF career.
Then last we have the best of the west Lakers with a full strength squad coming up against the stars of the future in Portland. The big man Greg Oden gets a taste of the big leagues. Him up against Bynum should be mouth-watering.

Dearey me, it's a very exciting time :D

Im looking forward to the two best new bigman combos going at it - Bosh/JON vs Brand/Dalembert. Should be a corker of a game. Go raps!

Wolves begin season at home to Sacramento on the 29th.

In the bag. Kings will suck more than we will.

Dally with a bit of an injury but Brand and Co should see off the Raps.. for win #1

Good luck with that. Jose and BON (as im now calling our frontcourt :p) are going to be too much for your lads. Chalk up..

Win #1. :D

I wish so badly I wasn't working. With no computer access. I will destroy anyone that crosses me on this sacred day. And thy will have thou revenge 'pon those who stopped my NBA viewing.

Pffft I will just have to check the box scores when I get home.

The Lakers exercised the fourth-year option on the contract of guard Jordan Farmar on Monday, but center Andrew Bynum is still without an extension as Friday's deadline approaches.

Bynum, who will make $2.8 million this season in the final year of his contract, is reportedly looking to sign a five-year extension worth approximately $85 million.

The Lakers haven't moved on any sort of extension even though the deadline is Friday, according to Bynum's agent.

"Whatever happens, happens," agent David Lee said.

Got no problem with that. What we need to do is push through the youngsters and hopefully pick up 2-3 really nice young pieces through the draft in time for the 2010 summer when we will have a lot of good young kids and shitloads of room in the salary cap.

I am looking forward to seeing just how good Kevin Martin will be this year and how Spencer Hawes develops.

God its good to have NBA back on. Its not a long off-season, but it felt like an eternity. Bucks off to a shaky start against chi-town, Bogut with some early fouls...

So long as Charlie V is starting next to him he'll get fouls.

charlie lets through a heap of guys and Bogut isn't a stella defender to start with.

Portland Lakers will be the game of the day.

Can't wait to see Oden and Bynum go at it.

Yeah your not wrong there. Charlie picked up 2 fouls in the first 4 mins of the game, got his third only 2 mins into the second quarter...
