You would have beaten us, I'd imagine.

But I am sure we would have beaten San Antonio in those WCF's if Dirk didn't hurt his knee in game 3.

Karma is a bitch.

Dreaming.

We let you beat us one year and you just went and choked in the finals anyway.

At least the Spurs getting through meant a team that could actually handle pressure was playing on the big stage.

What if Jordan had been called for pushing off on Byron Russell, and the Jazz went on to win the title?

Instead of Stockton and Malone being remembered as greats who never could reach the top they'd be remembered as the one duo able to knock off Jordan's Bulls once they were in Championship mode. That is massive, especially for Malone's legacy. I doubt many would rate Duncan higher if it happened.

Thats wasnt a foul, hence why it wasnt called.

Malone didnt win any titles. Duncan has what?? 3 or 4? No, just no.

Here is a big "what if"

What if Michael Jordan didnt retire after his first threepeat?

He would have won 8 straight. That's freaking ridiculous.

I like the other "what if" on Jordan and Olajuwon on the same team their entire careers. That would have been ridiculous!

The inevitable 2003 Draft "What If"

What if Detroit took Carmelo at #2

Imagine the lineup of

Billups
Hamilton
Anthony
Prince
Wallace

I like Chris Bosh more than Carmelo if we'd had that 2nd pick again. Apparently on the day it was a line ball decision between Darko and CB4, and we all know what happened there.

Billups
Hamilton
Prince
Bosh
B.Wallace

Bench...
R.Wallace
Williamson
Hunter
Okur
M.James
Campbell

I think we could have got more than one Championship out of that line up.

99-00 portland up by 15 at staples center in the WCF. Lakers went on a tear and won. portland choked. imagine if they'd won, there wouldn't have been a laker 3 peat.

03-04 - malone and payton joined the lakers. malone re-injures knee in the finals, detroit win. if malone wasn't injured (throughout the year also) the lakers would've won in a tight 7 game series with the pistons.

Yep great to see the Mailman come up in crunch time again :thumbsu:

Most people don't recognise the three-peat anyway due to the hatchet job the refs did on the Kings a year later.

Kobe choked that one for you guys, he was jacking up everything. Pistons still win regardless of Malone.

Exactly.

Who were the other 6 bench players? There was Turkoglu, Pollard, Bobby Jackson.... who else?
Bobby Jackson, Hedo, Pollard, Keon Clark, Jimmy Jackson, Damon Jones.

Our second unit was better than some of the teams starters :D

Very deep team that had great chemistry and played a very entertaining brand of unselfish basketball. Was a top offensive and I think top 2 defensive team for that season. Then it all went up a shit creek when Webber blew his knee against Dallas.

yes but had malone not gotten injured during the year he wouldve been even better schooled in the triangle. that wouldve come to the fore in the finals and we wouldve won.

if only we didnt get payton :( major disappointment.

Yeah that was a ridiculously deep team, but JO was only just out of high school so it wasn't the prime or even good JO or anything.

Spurs in 04 or 05 were really deep too, their second unit was better than a lot of teams starting lineup.

nba live wise portland were great to use

What if San Antonio in 02-03 kept Stephen Jackson and in 03-04 kept Hedo Turkoglu, and in 06-07 they had Beno Udrih who has developed into an average player especially if he was coming off the bench behind Tony Parker.

What if Dallas had of kept Steve Nash, Antawn Jamison and Michael finley.

Team Now
S.Nash/D.Harris(wouldn't trade for Kidd seeing already got Nash)
J.Howard/J.Terry
A.Jamison/M.Finley
D.Nowitzki/B.Bass
E.Dampier/D.Diop

If we kept Nash, we couldnt have signed Dampier.

And Jamison was traded for Harris.

And Finley was let go under the salary amnesty clause.

What if RUN-TMC hadnt been broken up with Mitch going to the Kings. I'm guessing Nelson wanted Paul Pressey mkII with Owens.

What if Shaq went into the draft a yr earlier, Nuggets or Mavs anyone?
