And they recently canned our derby game against Cairns which was scheduled for broadcast as well. I ****ing hate FTA television. It's a ****ing outrage.

even more so the natives of the wa country: they cant get one hd out there in the countryside
 
If there gonna grab the rights they need to do it properly like the good old days.
Its hard enough for them to get viewers already with such poor standard and everyone having easier access to more nba games.
Then they do crap like delaying games and delaying the telecast of delayed games :P
The casual basketball fans are only going to care about their home team, they dont wanna see 2 other teams playing 1 day then another 2 teams playing some other day an having to wait 2-3weeks to finally see their team play.
They will just say screw this an stop even trying to figure out when their teams on tv.

The idiots running the tv stations will then see the ratings an say noone cares about basketball an they will stop showing it.

Bring back the good old days
Show atleast 1 perth game on tv each week.
Have the schedule more regular so that fans know ok sat night perth are at home this week so 7pm wildcats game will be on.
An do the same for each state so in nsw instead of seeing perth games they get sydney or the hawks.

It wont help get the number of fans they did in the glory days but it will help boost ratings an atleast get basketball back in peoples minds again an lift ratings abit.

As its shown now i can never tell when my team will be playing so i dont even bother looking anymore as most times ive looked its teams i dont give a stuff about.
Ive only seen 1 game on tv this year.
Ive tried to watch my team 6 times but 5 times its been teams i dont care about so i changed the channel.
I bet theres many more casual fans that have given up also.

Wildcats have been on fairly regularly which is good. But they have started delaying games which is the thing that pisses me off. This weekend the NBL match on Sunday is delayed again and there is nothing on before it to delay it either...:rolleyes:

I went to the Tigers v Kings match today. Not a great match but it was entertaining and loud inside the cage. Watched a bit off the replay at home, the crowd sounds dead! It was roaring today, even though Tigers played terribly. On top of that Steve Carfino sounds like he has lost all inspiration for commentating. :thumbsd:

Only Live sport on Pay television, it has being abused!:thumbsd:

In this day and age, we have a thing called the internet who can provide us a live tv stream or an audio stream at least, so screw you! Free to air!

Err no. I might hate watching delayed sport, but if you move it all to Pay TV then I get no sport at all and 70% of Australians get no sport as well.

But they need to be forced to show it live AUSTRALIA WIDE!

ONE HD has been brilliant in showing sport live, but all of a sudden they are now only doing it for the Eastern states which is a cop out.

Why do we get a Friday night basketball game live but a Sunday arvo game three hours delayed?

It is only since they have started showing movies on ONE that the whole Sunday schedule now is built around the movie because it is the only thing that rates for them. So they make the basketball delayed so it finishes as the movie starts.

Coincidental it has only happened since Packer and co. are now involved?:rolleyes:
 
Al Westover got fired by Tigers today.

Definitely the right decision. Last two seasons have been a disaster.
This offseason was especially disappointing.
Cam Traagath is a poor mans Mark Worthington and why did they recruit so many tall players?
Australian bball has always been small ball. If you can't shoot you are going to struggle.

Yep. I only got to see up to the first overtime as my recording run out of tape!:(

Penney was amazing, and Harvey too for the Blaze. Great game it was and I assume OT2 was just as good as the rest of the game.

The Breakers just had that little bit extra left. Once they got out by 5 in the 2nd OT period the GC looked gone. Couldn't have blamed either side for doing that though.
 
That was a tough loss to NZ. Losing by 1pt - even more frustrating when you have possesion for the last 20 seconds and the end result is an off balance 3 ball with hands in the face in the corner.

But you can't give teams an 18pt start, especially on the road. Still, I'm confident we can match it with anyone when the playoffs roll around. Big one in the Gong now, need to keep winning to secure the home advantage in the first week. Don't want to be going to play twice in Perth.
