Well seen as the Perth Wildcats are out of this years race i thought i would cheer myself up with a little stat. Perth Wildcats are the most successful club in NBL history :D

1979 - St Kilda Saints
1980 - St Kilda Saints
1981 - Launceston Casino City
1982 - West Adelaide Bearcats
1983 - Canberra Cannons
1984 - Canberra Cannons
1985 - Brisbane Bullets
1986 - Adelaide 36ers
1987 - Brisbane Bullets
1988 - Canberra Cannons
1989 - North Melbourne Giants
1990 - Perth Wildcats
1991 - Perth Wildcats
1992 - South East Melbourne Magic
1993 - Melbourne Tigers
1994 - North Melbourne Giants
1995 - Perth Wildcats
1996 - South East Melbourne Magic
1997 - Melbourne Tigers
1998 - Adelaide 36ers
1999 - Adelaide 36ers
2000 - Perth Wildcats

4 - Wildcats
3 - 36ers
- Cannons
2 - Bullets
- Giants
- SEM Magic
- Tigers
- STK Saints
1 - Bearcats
- Launceston

So there you have it :D Interestingly though no club has won three in a row and only Perth Adelaide Saint Kilda and Canberra have gone back to back.

Technically Jod Stkilda the Giants and SEM are all part of the same side, ie the Titans, which means we have won six and are therefore statistically the most successful organisation. LOL

Arn't they all merged sides? You can't all add the championships up. Technically, the Titans haven't won any titles.

It's like the Brisbane Lions situation. The AFL don't count Fitzroy's premierships on the Brisbane Lions official statistics.

St Kilda have nothing to do with the Giants or SEM Magic. Dont know where you got that from, the Giants were orignally the Coburg Giants so your wrong anyway Bubba.

So Perth are the most successful club in history .. yeah! Go Perth.

jod, Stkilda and Nunawading Spectres merged to form the SEM Magic, so in my opinion (admittedly biased) Titans is the magnificent creation of all those teams and therefore the most successful ;)

I guess you too will never give up. Man, some basketball teams had bad luck, they are mergers of merged teams. And they've had there fair share of failed teams!
Bad luck Wild Cats
We'll win next year :)

And the Saints in basketball were more successful than the Saints in footy, in a shorter period of time!

The mighty St Kilda Saints!!!

Don't really have anything constructive to say this post.

Good to see that 1980 was such a good year anyway.

Go Titans!

How good were Coburg before they became the North melb giants? Did they make the finals every year, did they make any grand finals, or were they a club who struggled to win games?

Coburg Giants made one grand final but lost to Launceston and they had a few finals campaigns and a couple of years of missing the playoffs before turning into the North Melbourne Giants.
