Played Juniors for Norwood in the mid 80's the oval was ok until it got Muddy that mud always had a horrible smellNorwood oval is love/hate
If you're a Norwood member and get to sit in the Western stand - you'll love it. Right ontop of the oval, great views.
But if you're anyone else, you hate it.
The Southern stand is the 2nd worst in the league, only better than Prospect's members stand
The outer is the worst in the league with it being narrow, claustrophobic, fills up almost instantly and you're forced into bad areas
The field (particularly goal areas) are land mines with uneven surfaces that I'd argue is more unsafe than the western wall
I’m not a Norwood supporter, but agree with you. Best ground to watch SANFL.rather Norwood than any SANFL ground. Im biased though. Used to go there with my brother, dad and grandfather in the 80's to watch Aish and Macca.

I would like to see "Chemist Warehouse Fantastic noodle Adelaide Crows HQ" with large billboards of the world's most delicious cup noodles visible from south road.is it going to remain Thebarton Oval or are they likely to sell out and make it something stupid like OTR Arena or something just as heinous?

And co-wrote, with Peter Cornwall, the brilliant book "Best of Both Worlds" which documents the stories of the West Torrens, Woodville and Woodville-West Torrens Footy Clubs. So his knowledge and understanding of the significance of the Crows new home ground, will not be lost with him.David still works for the club. Currently club historian.

I drive past there from time to time. Am I correct in observing that the development of South Road there is happening simultaneously?
