Uhh, not the best screenshot of Lebron but it does look just like him.

That KD photo is from NBA Elite 11, a rabble of a game.

Ross' screenshots do look great but I would say that they are better than million dollar franchises, no offence Ross, you guys know you have done an amazing job

You are going to be able to find many comparisons that are way off with any game, especially if you go searching for the worst cases.

In this case, with AFL, all players models have been compared to the photos taken at their relevant club, they have been rendered in 2D and then the actual photo overlaid in the top corner for AFL approval.

This screen from top spin 4 a game which will come out around the same time of roger federer is in my opinion about the same level as Big Ant's and remember in tennis games they only need to model about 25 players.

Big ant have had to model like 600 players compared to top spin's 25. great effort BAS

And I'm not comparing graphics, I'm comparing accuracy to realife counterparts.

The big companies have good graphics but the accuracy of their models are not always that good (even though they get millions to make a game)

Anyway I'm a bit confused at people jumping at me, the fact that we can actually compare bigant studios player models to big companies such as EA who have over 20 years of experience says a lot

NBA2k11's faces are simply amazing - as is the game.

In saying that, I'm still really impressed by the faces so far in this AFL game.

Some of 2K11's faces are just messed up. I've only played it a couple of times and one this that really sticks with me is Ray Allen. In the game his forehead looks alien.

You are correct i mean how many times has someone gone to see a movie because the poster or the teaser trailer or official trailer for that matter makes the movie look good and the movie ends up being a hunk of crap.

The screen shots may look good but during gameplay the faces may not look like that good because as Ross has stated the main reason they went into so much detail for the faces.was because of the replay factor.

Otherwise they might not have gone into as much detail ( And i think because of the create a player feature but im not to sure about that).

For Ross and the people who have seen the game, from the Southern Stand view, are the players distinguishable by their faces alone? The thing I like about FIFA games is that even if there is nothing different about two similar players running styles, height, etc. you can still recognise them by their face, even from the high view.

If you can answer this, is this the case (at all) in this game?

Ah ok awesome. Had any internal tournemants (for testing purposes of course ) to see who is the best at the game in the Big Ant team? Which gamertag will i look for for an easy win

New website because with AFL being announced soon, as well as cricket and NRL they are gonna have a lot of visitors and a new fancy website is always a nice thing.

Mostly yes... there are the standouts like NR, Judd, etc.. that you can tell from miles away.

This is where people were starting to get annoyed, after asking a previously asked question. Ross said the better players will be recognisable. If Rooey and Juddy are recognisable then you can bet your life savings Swan will be. As for his tattoos, that would come down to your TV. But it is only tattoos, and this is BigAnt's first crack, so don't be disappointed.

But there is always the isue of pleasing the fans. There are 17 teams, and 3, maybe 4 can fit in an EA style cover. I think they look good, and I like an idea suggested some time ago, someone mentioned having the big medal winners feature on the cover. Jack Riewoldt, Chris Judd, Lenny Hayes and Scott Pendlebury.
