In regards to eb games attempt at the advertisement of the new afl game.

I went into my local eb and they had a totally different cover to the one mentioned and pictured here a few pages ago.

It was a Carlton player taking a mark with Heath scottland in the background and Cameron wood from collingwood trying to spoil the mark.

And there might have been a couple of other players in it as well but I am not too sure will try and see if I can get a picture of it later and post it.

Yeah that photo has been posted, it was used around Christmas time for the Wii advertisement. Good job on the grammar haha

And I'm trying with the grammar and punctuation.

Still don't have my computer so it's hard on the iPod and as I said earlier the Internet keeps dropping out but I'm trying.

Will the ps3,xbox360 and pc versions also feature the vfl and tax cup teams.

On the poster it says featuring vfl,tac cup and under 18s teams.

The tac cup is the under 18s comp I'm a little confused to what that means.

If anyone knows would love to know what that means because I am completely baffled by that.

You've got to wonder why they chose send out two different sets of slicks, if they had just sent out the one above, it saves both Glenno and Ross from getting in contact with their higher ups to get the other ones taken off the shelves, and saves them from having an entirely new set sent out.

Because they're not. You need at least 3 points for a yellow card. 5 points is a red.

Regarding the PC version, sometimes developers will release higher quality textures/models for the platform(as it tends to be a much stronger platform than current consoles) so people can take full advantage of their systems.

I understand that BigAnt are a smaller developer, but I was wondering if you guys will be doing a similar thing and allowing us to connect up an Xbox controller so we can still play it with a controller yet take advantage of the higher processing of a PC? Or will the assets be indentical?

I use an Xbox controller to play the game on my notebook, they will be supported along with most other PC controllers.

What about the textures/models?

I assume you develop high resolution textures and high polygon models. Will they be used on PC and drilled down for consoles or are they all the same assets?

They have. We knew that a sleeve was coming, just didn't know what they were to put on it.

The sleeve was created with the best intent from guys that are not into AFL so I think they deserve a bit of latitude - we'll get it fixed between all of us.

I called our buying team today and told them all about what was wrong with it. They said they will contact HES to get it sorted

i also called my state manager and got him to send an email to the WA and SA stores to remove said slicks for now

I have just cut off the info from the back and sides, so the front it still visible that says an AFL game is coming. So i still have marketing for it

Okay! I have gotten my minor infraction and I am much more relaxed now and apologise to anybody whom I may have offended.

Back On-Topic: Today I went into EB and heard a customer yell (yes, yell!) at the poor EB worker because of the false advertising of AFL. From what I saw, there wasn't any slicks or covers on the shelves so I assume this guy has read up on the games like we have. But he actually threatened to sue EB because of the false features that were in a catalogue months ago that are only Wii exclusive.

This game is doing some weird things to people lol that is how much we all love our footy!

Not to sure mate, I just walked in at that point the argument had started. Maybe he misread it assuming that it was for PS3 and Xbox as well? Who knows? Or maybe he was just too anxious for it lol
