Why are people still sleeping out and queueing up for them, having to get them first?

I can kind if understand it if it's some revolutionary new product... but I had an iphone 4, my iphone 5 is exactly the same thing with a slightly bigger screen. I bet the iphone 6 is the same thing again. Why would you even bother unless you needed a new phone?

A lot of them seem to be Chinese tourists. The iphone6 won't be out in China for a long while yet so they stock up on them here and go back and sell them for profit. You can already see a few of them up on ebay being sold for much more than they're worth.

We were discussing the exact same thing at work today. I can understand (even though i never would) lining up for things like the first iPhone, iPad, PS4, Xbone, things that are the first of their kind. But what are these knuckleheads going to do when they get their iPhone 6s? The exact same thing they can do on their iPhone 5s I imagine.

who needs updated phones. Pre paid Samsung galaxy ace plus. All i need plus tough as nails. dropped it at least 100 times on hard surfaces for no cracks or damage.

Have a HTC Desire Z as it is, it's a tough bugger and it hasn't given me too much trouble until recently. Thinking of going for the iPhone this time.

Yep I've got an iPhone but I agree with this, if you only use a phone to text and call so be it! Don't need to spend the extra $$$$ when it's not necessary.

I had a Nokia smartphone before and even got dumb reactions for having that.

I've dropped my iPhone 5 heaps of times. I've thrown my iPhone at my home phone and the home phone broke. Still nothing has happened to it. The only issue I have is the screen protector being damage. Not morning has actually happened to the phone itself.

I've never felt the changes were 'minor', though the whole package looks the same, the new phones def perform better and have better capabilities

The smart phone has changed phones though, they really are a step up from the old standard flip phones we thought were new age 10 years ago. The accountant at my work is very stingy, and once she heard about Viber she was a little disgruntled it wasnt compatible with her motorola razor

The old "I can call and text on my phone so its all good" argument is a little redundant, considering the phones people are paying money for do an infinite amount more than just call and text, theyre used for emails/internet/games/social networking/storage/music/videos etc.

The ability to have full email capability in my pocket I cant put a dollar sign on
