They have the opera house on the home guernsey, why not have a solid v for away/clash jumper to make it completely South Melbourne. If they're gonna have a jumper to honour their South's heritage then why not do it properly.

Don't think it's needed. They already moved to Sydney and changed their name.

IMO the opera house on the home guernsey is enough.

I never heard anything like that. It would look a fair bit better without the writing IMO.

Don't pay any attention to the pic; the home guernsey is a shoop. Look at Melksham's hand, it seems cut out and there's no texture to the red sash at all.

I also noticed this before. Look at the clash's collar. Now look where the 2012 collar is meant to be. Isn't it interesting that the "2012" collar is still there, but only with about 5% opacity? And the writing seems to be smaller as well where the old collar is.

Yeah that's what I was saying. The entire thing is a photoshop. Poor marketing on Essendon's behalf.

The absolute majority of people won't care that it's a photoshop, nor realise it is. Most people just know the sash and colours and that's enough. And it shows the new collar. Essendon's marketing seems to net them some okay income, membership, and attendance.

Jake Melksham is one ugly man, though. Jeeeeesus christ.

Yep, I'd say so... it's a bit hard to see, but I'm pretty sure the clash looks a bit smudged on the parts where the old collar would overlap in that photo.

It's pretty much the same guernsey as last year, just with the new collar.

Besides, if we took off the names of the players then there's no way we could call it a heritage guernsey and you would get even more of us whinging about it then there already are.
