You were wrong. Admit it.
I gave you facts and you don't like them. No harm done.

New List Manager?
It seems that if we haven't hit our target by now, the harder it may get.
Wouldn't those that were required by their clubs be committed to contracts by now?
Could we end up with a back to the future moment, where a collective does all the work - LM/Recruiter, HoF, CEO and Pres?
No I am not wrong I just cbf discussing it with someone wanting to repeat themselves and ignoring what I have to say, go annoy someone else.

Fev was a huge talent but flaky (so it proved), Waite was a glorified third tall (a good one), and Fisher was eventually found out for speed. We even admitted it at the time that we thought having Judd on the list would make up for the likes of Kennedy and that we didn't need a CHF. Our plan was for Judd to win us a premiership.
I don’t know why he wouldn’t be classified as a true KPP. He was that athletic type who could push right up to the wings with Fev staying home. For me it was a perfect combo. We also have to remember resting rucks player forward back then so a CHF would’ve made Waite a 4th tall option. Look at our list before Fev went off the rails and we had Fev, Waite and 3 other players who went on to kick over 50 goals in a season. We weren’t short of fire power on our list at all.
I also think it is unfair to say we expected Judd to win us a grand final. We had a midfield of Judd and three number 1 draft picks. We also had players under 22 taken at picks 2,8 and 19 who were mids. Yarran at 6 we also thought could’ve went through there or the wing. To add to that gun Players like Nick Stevens 28, Simpson ~24 and good players Scotland 28 and Carrots 25. It looked much more exciting then what we have now in terms of highly rated talent.

I honestly think people have short memories and use the benefit of hindsight to rewrite history/or their opinions more so. I think the natural excitement about our list is no different or more justified now as it was back then. Like then we will have players not come on and we will find holes we didn’t think we had. We just have to be better at filling them this time.

Edit. Not much more exciting but atleast equally.

Reckon you are right. We were a kick (free kick) away from playing the cats in a prelim with kreuzer and Gibbs out injured. We were a real chance to be able to beat them.
We went into the following year as one of the favorites with even robbo picking us to win the flag.
Make no doubt we were right on the precipice. Sadly it wasn't to be through a variety of reasons that have been done to death here (take your pick as to how much each of the following contributed - injuries, maturity, coaching, recruiting)
But it is genuinely true that at least for a short time we were genuine contenders.

That team wrote it's record in history and it came up short against the genuine 'contenders' of that era. I'm far more bullish about this current squad than I was about the 2011/12 team.

The assembly of players are there, but the coaches we just don't know yet.
Recall thinking of Ratten as a coach that couldn't take us to a Premiership. Bit early to make any educated assessment on Teague.

List Manager -
All clocks up again next week.
Expecting some noise to filter out of the club then,

Coaches are a little harder to form an opinion on as we don't get to observe them at work as we do with the players. I was surprised we only pursued Longmuir as a senior assistant in the off season though, thought another into the mix may have helped. Teague is walking in at a much better time as compared to Bolton, I'm glad we are the club giving him a shot as he looks to have the right ingredients to succeed.

Waite was also missing in that final. Whateley also tipped us as flag favourites the following year. Also.

I thought it at the time, let alone now. I just think Waite played better as a mismatch. I still think we missed too many tricks for our own good. Imagine picking Adam Goodes instead of Chris Massie, for instance, or holding off taking Whitnell as a F/S for another year so we could have picked another top rated 17 Y/A? Everything adds up. Equating that period with today's list is just assuming that everyone thinks we have done absolutely everything right now and I don't think that's the case. Lists were also not as evenly spread then as they are now, we can't judge today's circumstances directly against what they were like back then.

Did I read correctly somewhere we have lost our head of AFLW recruitment as well?

AlecDuncan linked the article from CFC in the post above.

Says on the aflw site that he took a position as Football Operations Manager for West Adelaide.

Good move from a career perspective.

Wonder if SOS is available ... only until his daughter causes another conflict of interest of course

stfu, lingy!
Watching the BBL and they did a version of Roaming ****knuckle, was worse than the original.

Tried to tell a cricketer that the Tigers invented the mosquito fleet recently. Needs to give it away now

Come out of no where, play a few blinders and then disappear off the face of the earth?
What if he meant to say that JP has people skills that are currently lacking at CFC? would you feel compelled to rebut such a comment if that is what he meant to say?

Has the club publicly stated a timeframe for an appointment to be made? The list is set until at least mid-season so there really is no hurry - just interested to know if progress has been made.

Surely this person has to be in place before any football is played? They have to negotiate expiring contracts, receive scouting reports, attend junior matches and other AFL matches for potential trade targets. Then there is the mid-season draft as well.
