I don't expect anyone to push their case here. Just send a PM stating your interest, your availability time wise and what you think you can bring to the mod team. If you don't get selected, please don't get upset. There are many aspects to moderating, such as being reasonably articulate, diplomacy, having a thick skin, and understanding when to take action and when not to.

Training is provided and support is available.

I’m very interested. However I should mention up front that I will most likely abuse the power.
I’m a petty man, and we may end up with only a handful of posters able to post.

Yes, we have several candidates. Someone will end up disappointed perhaps but one of our mods can verify being passed over, only to be given an opportunity the next time a spot opened. I hope people don't get discouraged. Sometimes we are just looking at the dynamic of the board at the time, the dynamic of the mod team and where we think the strengths lie.

Yay. Good to hear. Good luck to the applicants. And I do hope that those who don't get picked don't get disheartened or feel that they are any less valued contributors here.
 
I've changed my mind... I want to be a mod so I can delete people's posts :D

Come on please... it was a great rant against anti-vaxxers in the fold coast preview thread. You could have left it up for another day or two before cleaning it up :D
