Finally ... the decision has been made.

We will be adding two mods to the Blue board this time around, double the fun, double the misery, whichever way you want to look at it.

But first, allow me to thank our departing moderator BlueGum, for all of the work she has put in around here since she came on board. As with many of us, that work/life balance can get in the way and sometimes mods have to do what is best for their circumstances. BG will still be around the board with her humour and good grace, but as one of you, the heartbeat of BigFooty Blues.

Now down to business:

The first announcement is someone you all know. She has done a fantastic apprenticeship as a moderator on other boards within BigFooty and has a knack for finding the humour in all situations.

Please welcome MrsEddieBetts to the mod team. Congratulations MEB!

Our second announcement is another poster you know but is a first timer on BigFooty, and I'm sure you will all help to make this a positive experience for them.

Please welcome Gethelred. Congratulations Geth! Don't let them haze the new guy.

Thank you also to the applicants who missed out this time around. There was not a bad candidate and we have plenty of options should another opening come up.

Congrats to both of the new mods. And a big thanks to BlueGum... they have always said that is a good umpire (mod) is one that you never notice until they need to do their job. I didn't even realise that you were a mod on the board. So it's a job well done

Unfortunately, it's not a popularity contest. There needs to be some consensus with existing mods and site admin as well.

With Eddie Betts now working for that stinking lot down the Geelong Rd, I think the recently appointed Mod whose 'nick' includes this turncoat's name needs to a adopt a more Carlton friendly moniker. MrsCoreyDurdin or MrsJesseMotlop sounds good to me.
