can someone please fill me in on what going to happen with the new broadcasting here in WA?

we've been used to seeing WC games games week in week out on GWN down here in the south west. is that going to change and we only get match of the round, forcing us to sign up to fox (wouldn't put it passed them)?

this issue is probably of more importance to supporters in regional areas as they can't get up to Perth to see the games as much as they'd like. although wouldn't mind signing up to fox for the AFL channel anyway (footy 24/7 would be heaven).

cheers.

mentalgrind - I know that WIN is alligned to Channel Nine, so if you can get WIN you'll be able to see all the games Nine would telecast. The problem with Channel 10 games is another issue. Are they partially in connection with GWN, because they show Home and Away and Neighbours on that station, and respectively they are Seven and Ten shows.

You'll definately get radio coverage, and fingers crossed TV access too!

GoEagles, you've got it a bit confused. WIN is combined with 9 and 10, and GWN with 7. We get Home and away on GWN and Neighbors on WIN. Also, mentalgrind, if you can't get WIN you won't get the footy, its as simple as that. Fox while being good is very costly to sign up at the start, but after that is the normal price. Luckily i get WIN, and WIN will show as much footy as everyone else, they'll show the channel 9 and 10 games, so it'll be about 1 friday night, 2 saturday, 1 day one night, and 1-2 on Sunday, depending on fixturing etc.

I like Perth and Albany
My parents can't stand Perth
The only thing which makes me like Perth more IS THE FOOTY, so i look forward to 2003 when i move to perth(hopefully, if I get the TER i need, otherwise i'll be Melbourne bound:( )

did i say that, No, i simply would prefer to stay in WA and go to a WA uni. but will go to melbourne if i don't get in. the TER's are higher here than their:(. I'm sure the uni's in melbourne are fine, but Melbourne aint WA. I would choose Melbourne over Sydney as the Eagles play more games in melbourne so i'd still be able to see some footy!
