New Veterans List Ruling

As part of the new CBA... [from afl.com.au]

- clubs now being allowed to list as many veterans as they wish and players now qualifying for the veterans list as soon as they turn 30 – provided they have given 10 years of service – rather than having to wait until the following season as was the case with Essendon skipper James Hird this season.

This means Banners can go onto the veterans list in February. Although this comes after the draft, we can elevate a rookie onto the main list at this time...

This is good news as it frees up some more money for our salary cap (half of what Drew's on, whatever that is, but you'd think it'd be a decent wage).
