LMFAO. Has Lazarus arisen again?

Where do can I go to pay my respects to PRR?

Lazarus is just warming up 1980, he feels its going to be a long season.

PRR will be around he just had to take some leave contemplate life and come to terms that his footy team is ****ing useless and will never come good.

Keep dreaming.

Wallace is gone. He had his opportunity and he missed it. Only doing what North pulled off last season, will save him.

He should have done a Clarkson. He started to do it last year which was 2 years too late, and he ran out of time.

I doubt there is anyone on the board that thinks Wallet is worth $500k a year.

Clarkson started in '05 and inherited a list with a core of solid players. Brown, Mitchell, Ladson, osborne, sewell, Hodge, Taylor, Campbell, williams, bateman, boyle, crawford, croad...all best 22 players. 13/22!

Conversely, the only pre wallace players still in our best 22 are: Pettifer, Brown, Richardson, Newman, Johnson, Tuck, raines, simmonds, bowden, coughlan. Thats 10/22. And coughlan, brown and simmonds have all been missing for large periods whereaas only really williams has been missing for them. So really its 7 pre wallace players still in the best 22 vs 12... therefore i would argue wallace inherited a much worse list and deserves more time.

A good post Terry, but why did you state at the time you chose Richmond because you thought their list was a little more advanced. I don't mean to sound repetitive but no one ever gives me an answer to this.

Thats rubbish and you know it.

Clarkson cut deeper and faster. The likes of Tivendale would not be running around today under Clarkson. Gaspar would have been cut on day one not year 3.

Credit where its due. Clarkson is paid a hell of a lot less money than Wallet but has delivered results faster.

Jesus, its going to be a hard year but that hard? As bad as Frawley's last year?

Will I need to resurrect the nic Mothball?

We need to be put on suicide watch.

You obviously haven't read my posts much you toolhead. I dont like Terry's gameplan, i'm the kind of guy who would much prefer the intimidation to be brought back to richmond, the type of guy who would worship a tough nut like tim fleming despite his total lack of skill. Thats why I was stoked that geelong won last year because their side is full of solid players who break packs because they are strong...not just tough or kamikaze but ridiculously strong through the hips.

But I am a realist and AFL football nowadays is moreso all about run and skill and sticking to gameplans. While Geelong, West Coast and Sydney were all alot more physical than us, they also had something else. Geelong had power, and also alot of run off half back through guys like wocjinski. West Coast had pure speed in the middle and lean muscle mass. Sydney had well build stoppage sharks and extractionists and thus played smaller grounds to perfection because of their lack of pace in the middle.

It's my opinion that Richmond are unsuccessfully following the West Coast model of modern day footy while the Hawks are following the Geelong model. Richmond therefore will take longer to develop because we recruited a bunch of skinny runners to turn them into footballers while you guys recruited footballers and then improved their running. When and if guys like Casserley, Moore, Meyer, Collins, Oakley-Nicholls and Cotchin, who have done nothing thus far, kick on physically and football wise and combine with Edwards, Foley, Deledio, Tambling, King, Jackson, McMahon and Polo we will be the fastest team in the league by far. Whether that translates into wins is another matter.

I am willing to give Terry's plan a go despite my reservations because nothing else seems to have worked for us. It couldnt be any worse than watching a Robert Walls, Geischen or Spud Frawley gameplan. And 1980 results for me is a premiership, not just 1 finals game.

Wallace's cull took longer but it was just as deep if not deeper.

However, why he said our list was advanced...i'll never know.

Terry Wallet has done sweet FA at Tigerland but there's thousands out there jump to his defence all the time.

He should be under the griller from us, not us polishing his bronzed knob.

Hawthorn started lower than us and now look the goods while we wallow in mediocrity.

the game plan is not a winner, and the players have not developed.

that's correct, if Wallet can't get them up this year, then he should be gone.

We used to cull underperforming coaches quickly, now we keep them for years & years till they run the side into the ground.

We are paying Wallet like a surgeon and he is doing the job of a cleaner. Last chance bronzed one, make it happen or there will be carnage at Tigerland.

While you believe that you will never ever understand the reality.

Yes, the 'quick cull' philosophy worked sooooo well for us didn't it.
