A really poor effort tonight leads me to our next discussion. The season is shot, what next?

I've watched the team and club improve over the last 5 years and as a result I've been in the Dimma camp. But when we continuously slow the game down and chip the ball 10 meters to a less advantageous position it is a coached response.

So these are my next steps from the RFC.
Step 1;
* Throw the kitchen sink at Ling and bring him on board as an assistant from next year
* Trade Hammer

I'm sure there are a million other suggestions out there. As DH says, fire away!

Jeez...he captained Geelong to a premiership and was part of a playing group and culture that drove each other to continued success. I'd roll the dice on him. He can't be any worse than our current group.

- Play Lennon every week
- Play McDonough every week
- Play Miles
- Play every ****ing young kid so we can see who can play and who can't

Players who should be moved on at the end of the season are the following:
Hampson, Vickery, Thomas, Petterd, Chaplin, Grimes, Grigg (good tonight but bad every other time), Edwards, Edwards, Morris.

So who does Ling work as an assistant for then if Hardwick was to quit?

I think Ling would be a good eventual coach. If you could emulate what Melbourne are trying to do with Roos and get a respected senior coach to guide him into the role Ling would really blossom.

Just from watching Richmond the players seem at sea game to game with the way they are trying to play. If you could get a senior coach with Ling heir to the throne you could really develop a consistent game plan over multiple years.

Good question. I don't have all the answers. All I have are extra beers in the fridge combined with an ill-informed opinion.

I've said it before and a couple of others have mentioned it as well...

We're a weak side. Physically, mentally weak.

We cannot handle pressure, we cannot handle big games.

Our coaches clearly don't train the side to embrace pressure.
It should be second nature. Our players seem surprised by pressure applied from other sides.

Second to the dismal coaching problem is the drafting of players that are unable to absorb pressure.

Vlaustin and to a slightly lesser extent - Martin to me are the only ones who seem to be comfortable with pressure.
Cotchin could probably be included but only just.

I'm questioning the character of 2/3 of the team. It's very very questionable. Do they have what it takes? I would say no. No balls.

Tell Vickery and Griffiths they are up for trade at years end and their in competition to keep their spot.
Ring Fyfe's manager and ask the price. Everyone's up for trade if he's keen.
Oh, sack Hardwick Monday morning and tell Choco to take the reins until seasons end.
Drop Grigg, Thomas, and bring in Miles and Arnott for the remainder of the year.
Contact all GWS player managers

What if Choco says no, What's your plan B or are you just like Hardwick who only has plan A?

As for Worsfold he was dreadful at the end, lacked interest, it was quite sad. Has he suddenly changed?

Ironically, Hird returns next year which demotes Bomber Thompson back to an assistant. I can't see Bomber playing second fiddle again. I'd be sounding him out to see where he is at.

I'd be hiring the best fitness coach money can buy and getting the list super fit. They ARE lazy. They look unfit because they are lazy.

Sound out Ling as a midfield coach. Find a forward coach that knows what he is doing.

Ban any recruiters from recruiting recycled players. Kids or project players. Shop Vickery around for a second rounder and trade both second rounders + a fringe player for a second first rounder. Get aggressive with recruiting kids.

Don't ask members for any more money for the "Fighting Tiger fund". The club owes it supporters and is well overdue.

Woosha had enough, needed a break and even said recently he'd love to coach again. Got the best in his last couple of years out of a very overrated list.
If Choco says no, offer it To another assistant. Keeping Hardwick is just going to do more harm than good, he's gone as far as he can go, the players are basically telling him so by their efforts.

sack dimma get woosha as senior coach lingy to take over after 3 years,,, get balmey in to run footy dept,, finosh bottom 3 this and next year draft best kids ,, trade out some of our top talent bring talent in from other clubs ,, start to clomb ladder in late 2016 finals 2017 2018 and 2019 hopefully a flag in betwwen 2017 and2019
