I mite cop a bit of flack for this but

Hilton to replace Brown, most would say here blood the kids, but weve allready got meyer,lids, pattison, foley, tambling , that have debut. Pretty much the only experianced players r have on the sidelines r Hilton and Morrison (allthough he hasnt played many games)

Take Bowden out, clearly he aint right, put in jackson
Hyde go back to the VFL and get confidence put in raines or hartigan if he is fit
Schulz go back to VFL, Stafford In
HALL in for foley

In the past few games, Lappin,Yze,McGrath,Milne have all kicked bags against us, we need to get somone settled into the small/mid sized defender postion, newman cant do it all the time and i hate it when Gas plays onplayers such as Yze tonight.

Tonight i think we rearly missed Staff at the top of the sqaure that mite have forced Nicholson onto him or perhaps a miss match?, and i think as much as i dislike him, Ray Hall could have played on Miller or Holland

Right about now - heading to the half way point of the season - I would have been arguing for the release of 'Lids' to Coburg... just to give him a break.

Now Brown is gone for the season... Deal with it!

Stafford will be back next week and with Snake and Richo, will form there famous triangle. As the X factor in the forward line, leave Lids there. This will save him from the mid-season exhaustion from playing as a full-time midfielder.

i think we can match up good on the eagles forwards

Hansen,Lynch,Gardiner and perhaps Mcdougal might be there but i think we have the options in Gas,AK,Hall,Graham or Schutlz

Up forward you would think Richo-Glass,Simmonds-Hunter, Hope staff plays who else do the eagles have thats a tall defender?

i dont care if we have to flood and play ugly football, we are looking at getting smashed in the midfield this weekend, play scrappy footy as people have said earlier

You're starting to sound like Frawley.

Back our boys in. If we get smashed, so be it. It'll be a good learning experience. If they come through, it boosts confidence.

I've had a lifetime worth of "winning ugly" (or more to the point, losing ugly).

I'd be dubious about bringing back Hilton based on last year seems to lack any sort of pace and any sort of stamina. Play him out of a pocket or on the forward flank next week and the Eagles will probably chuck Wirrpunda on him who will have a field day running off him for the whole day.

I think we will come out pretty fired up against the WCE, I think that would be our main aim to really come out firing, the past 3 weeks we've come out pretty slow. Hartigan back would provide us with more run from the half back and Hall will be welcomed back with open arms, we really could have used him against Melbourne. Whats the go with Gilmour? after 1 full year and nearlly half the season this year playing for Coburg, would he be ready to play?

A tall has to be dropped as we cannot play on the MCG in winter too top heavy so Schulz is the first in line unfortunately
Hartigan can do the job Chaffey does but better, only thing that may stop him coming back is either en extra week off, or a week in the VFL to get match fit

i would think he would need 3-4 weeks in the vfl before he would be considered for senior selection..

I agree, Bowden was one of our best last night, Doc Larkins said his injury was no hindrance in his performance and should be right for next week.
Tivendale and Chaffey have got to be dropped, Tivendale has done played bad games 6 weeks straight and Chaffey just can't stop turning it over.
Against the good sides, under pressure they drop off, its the equivelant of being 2 players shorter than the other side.

Leave Bowden in for sure,always plays well against the Eagles and will be able to play the floating backman with Hall coming back.Run off the Eagles forwards at all costs next week Sampi and Embley are quick but the rest are slow and will feel the pinch on a heavy MCG.

funny you mention that I have him as an option, only concern is his touch with little footy played this year to date...good mark for size and has been known to bob up for goals..
