Is it true you can turn off xfactor? Does anyone know?

all yearly franchises suffer from that. look at CoD and they have 3 year cycles from dev teams, but release a new one every year. and just like madden and other sport games they barely change. The lack of advancement in the core games is what makes them feel stale.

Sport games have always been paid roster updates, but at least back in the day they did feel different most years with new modes or overhauled modes.

Superstar mode is gone, franchise has felt the same since the PS3. create a team has been the same for 10+ years. create a uniform and logo and even design a stadium has been removed. we used to be able to design the field and what each section of the stadium looks like. set ticket prices and food, parking, TV ads, radio/print ads. i think even hire a chef for food in private boxes.

Assistant coaches and scouts. offline custom playoffs/ single elimination tournament mode with up to 32 teams. classic teams and NFL Europe. now classic players are locked onto MUT and classic teams dont exist anymore.

i havent played madden much. i played it like the first week then dropped it. just felt too stale and some old shit. Havent felt the need to want to start it up again.

Madden isn't even a paid roster update. It's a paid roster update, except with one less cool thing in the game than it had the year before, and one extra cheesy bug added in

I remember when EA actually used to put some cool new things into the game, like a radio show discussing things that went on in the league for that week.

Like aussiedude said, franchise mode when you used to set prices on everything and had to make some profit for your owner. Had staff attributes and salaries, not just player.

Sell jerseys and tickets for lowest in the league prices and jack parking and food up to make up for it. pissed off fans but i always made money. also pushed my TV and radio prices up.

NFL 2K Game Still on Track for 2021

One of the better stories to come out of 2020 was the reunion of the NFL and 2K Sports to revive a form of NFL 2K. The two sides announced back in March 2020 a new multi-year agreement that will see 2K Sports release multiple non-simulation football games across various platforms.

Though plenty of games are being delayed far beyond their anticipated release for obvious reasons, the new NFL 2K game doesn’t appear to be one of them for now.

According to multiple people close to the development of the game, everything is moving right along as scheduled. One person told SGO that “things have been going as smooth as they could despite everything going on.”

Hearing that has to certainly be music to the ears of fans eagerly awaiting any news on what the new NFL 2K game will be like. That information is still be kept close to those working on it, but SGO was told that new details will be coming “sooner than many expect”.

That was followed up with a sly “stay tuned ;-)” message.

What should you expect from NFL 2K?

Those last two statements would make it easy to assume that the first official information on the game will come ahead of E3 2021, which is the next major gaming event of the year. While it could be something as small as a name and/or cover athlete, the idea of getting anything right now is sure to be exciting for all football gaming fans.

As mentioned earlier, the new game will be a non-simulation game due to EA Sports still holding on to the exclusive rights to produce simulation NFL experiences. Though, the idea of Madden NFL being simulation is always going to be debated by players, the fact remains that the new NFL 2K game will be a more arcade experience. Even if it has modes like franchise, online leagues, and more, it’s still going to be more akin to that of, say, NBA 2K Playgrounds than the NFL 2K games of old.

Still, no matter what it is, it’s a welcomed addition to a market that has become too limited in offerings since the mid-2000s.
