Logged on this morning and an unprompted message appears saying 2022 renewals currently being processed.

Think their billing engine might be having some issues.

Using a vpn app i have on my phone, which allows you to pick not only Country, State, City, but even suburbs. Chose Sao Paulo Brazil. Once connected, created a new NFL/Gamepass account. When it asks what country youre from I said Brazil. That is all it asked. Then navigated to subscribe. There are three options - PRO (full access for $99 usd), ESSENTIAL ($49 usd, some access to nfln originals and highlights and such), and FREE (just some nfln and game highlights). Chose PRO. Takes you to Paypal direct pay within itself. When the option to proceed with payment came, "Ship to" had real Aus. address so selected, create new...then opened Google Earth, searched for a housing complex in Sao Paulo. Wrote down an anglicized address. Noted that in Portugese/Brazil -- road (Rua) comes first, then the street number, then the street, district, state, city, country. Also did a google search for common Brazilian zip codes (known as CEP). So...in the "ship to" entered it all. Chose pay direct from credit card inside the paypal portal. Clicked accept.

Got a confirmation payment from Paypal just now. The browser for NFL Ganepass says "error, something went wrong" and still not subscribed. Just refreshed the browser, all working now. Left vpn on for a while, watched a bit of inside training camp, i just like to do that to register the vpn ip as having watched, in the logs if there are any.

I think they are having major issues with their billing engines.

Even when I am logged in, I still get the home screen asking me to sign up. In manage account I get an error that the subscription service is under maintenance and it shows that I do not have any subscriptions active or active billing information.

I made that mistake a few years ago. Didnt realize my autorenew was still active AFTER i switched it off, and that year I paid $300 aud for ganepass while signing up for $50 using a backdoor gamepass to save money for that year. Grrr.

I made sure Asif killed the autorenew this year when he told me he got the email. And he did that, because when i logged into his gamepass acct it said i couldnt watch anything as that sub was not active.

So i created the new account etc as above for myself. Problem or acary part is....paypal has deducted the $142 aud, and gamepass was working fine for like half an hour. Then suddenly, "no subscription". Grrrr. Shall update of it changes or not

Maybe they really do have billing issues. You have to log into paypal via the browser as you get far more options and settings than the bare bones app. But in there i notice TWO active gamepass subs, both from today, one for $99 usd and one for $0 usd. Both billed same day same time.


These are not old inactive gamepass subs, which are listed in the "inactive" section and each one shows to be billed at different years in the past...2020, 2019, 2018, etc

What's uncommon is that we see lots of crap app development (I give you the Australian DPD as exhibit 1) but one thing developers rarely get wrong or take too much to develop are billing engines.

As long as its up by the HoF game I'm good since I've started travelling again.

Be nice if they, you know, communicated any of these issues to their customers.

Companies often put through a dummy transaction (1 cent, 1 dollar) to make sure it works before billing the whole thing. Dunno why but that's probably why you have the two transactions in there.

Chose 99 usd thinking 385 brl was the same anyway. Next year have to cancel this new sub and do it all again for the 40 bucks saving, before accepting an ongoing autorenew

The irony is....theres no need anymore to use vpn backdoor registrations to save money.

Australia is quoted at $153 aud.
Brazil is anywhere between $107 and $140 depending which currency you use.

Dont have India on vpn list to assess cost.

But it would seem like theyve decided to flatten the price range between various countries.

It used to be an Australian sub was in the $300 dollar range, then in the $200 range
