Nicest/Rudest Lions players you've met

I've interviewed a few players for my job (and always get nervous, even though they're just people doing their job!). I've also not had a bad experience, but I always just think they're the best anyway!

I found Jamie Charman so focussed on our conversation and almost intense, but very friendly. Browny was good, Jed was lovely, and Bradshaw also a great guy.

But one of my favourites has been Bushy. Always up for a chat, loves talking about his son!

Also, as a post-note, Happy Birthday to Jed today! The big 22! I remember this one as we're only 4 days apart, same year and all. (It's a bit lame, I know!)

I've met Power, Black, Brown and McGrath after training once and they were all awesome blokes. Black in particular seems to relate to people very well and he and Luke were brilliant with all the little kids hanging around for autographs - even though they were being hurried along they stayed out on the oval making sure that none of the kids went home disappointed

The only one I've ever found rude was Aka. However, this could probably be explained by the fact that this was at a training session in '06, in amongst all the controversy with him being left out of the team, etc etc. He seemed pretty over it and (oddly enough for him) didn't have a word to say to anyone!

Vipertooth, when the Victorian members' handbook comes out, I'll let you know when the meet and greet events are.

If you get the opportunity (start saving now), come to a game in Melbourne and then I'll introduce you to Shermo properly at one of the meet the players events.

It's best not to form an impression of someone based on one chance encounter.

It's also best to remember that young players when they start off (especially when they are still teenagers) may not know how to handle certain situations, especially when they least expect it.

Nicest over the time : Doc Clarke, Piggy Fletcher, Vossy, Charmo, Bushy and Luke and Drummo, Aka and Wood, and Marcus and Harty and Fly.
other clubs : Farmer and pav ,bazza.

yukiest :Sherman and Poss. from other clubs, Modra, Carey and Silvagni.

I used to work in the same building where the Duck used to go to get Physio and he is a great bloke. Very funny and friendly, he and Leigh Colbert were the best North Players.

Like a few of the other guys said you can't judge a player on one meeting, once you get to know them most are pretty good guys with a few exceptions.

I went up and talked to Jared Brennan after the Richmond v Brisbane draw at the Telstra Dome this year. I was very suprised at how nice he was and he didnt care at all i was a Richmond supporter and had a Richmond guernsey on. Even though the security guards were telling him to hurry up he finished the conversation properly then off he went.

He seems like a really nice guy.
