Saw a thread about him on another board. They say he is alot better than Kruezer. If we get him i will be extremely happy. Carlton will probably tank once again to get him.

I saw him play in the W.A vs Vic game and i thought he looks very talented. Mist out on the draft because he is a couple days to young. Easily top 3 in next years draft.

Very very good young player who is a great tap ruckman and is very quick and agile but.......

Daniel Rich, he's absolute gun and if we are in the position to pick him up, we will do so.

do u have a pic of rich? what position does he play?

He's the exact type of midfielder iv'e been wanting Essendon to get for sometime now, crash and bash inside midfield who's strong and hard at it, reasonably quick, poised highly skilled with great vision. Sure would be nice if we could pick him up next year. Im going to try and avoid this kind of talk though, because it's just way way too early to be talking about who to draft in 2008.

He played in the W.A vs Vic game you watched.
He didn't really standout in that game though like he did in the WAFL because he didn't really get as much as gametime in the midfield because of the other hopefulls that wanted to get drafted. That was also the reason Myers didn't play much in the midfield in the champs and played quite a bit at half back, because they had an abundance of good midfielders already. You still get to see Rich's great work and his great attributes, he just doesn't get alot of the ball.

The word for Naitanui is 'potential'.

This kid has more of that than just about any young player I've ever seen. He's the type that can leap over a pack, run down a guy from no where, and can do it all day. He's still putting it all together, but he can do some incredible things.

He's a super prospect, and I'd take him over anyone in this year's or next year's draft.

The only problem is, how is he going to slip to pick 16? ;)

We'll get 17- I'm assuming Carlton will get there mandatory priority pick;):D

Rather early to be penciling next years draft picks.
1) We dont know what number we will be picking at unless you belive most of the Hawthorn/Collingwood/Carlton.Richmond trolls.
2) How do you know who will go up another level from our current list ? Thats what will dictate what sort of players we will be looking at.
3)Naitanui could have a dud year next season.

Would love Naitanui. Absoutle freak athlete and a awsome football player.

Others to look for - Dan Rich and Hamish Hartlett

Exactly what I was thinking. The talk seems to be that they will be early picks, but i will be hoping that we dont have those early picks like we have had for the past three years.

Gentlemen, there's a bloke on our list called Mr. Ryder aka "Superman"/"The Freakshow"

We don't need Natanui

yeah too early too worry about who we may get in next years draft considering we dont know what position we will end up in.

how will next years draft fair out of curiosity?

will it have more depth then this years draft?
still hard to tell due to the fact that theres a whole year of development for the kids but im just wondering whats everyones predictions

Next years draft is said by some to be potentially the best ever.

Lets wait until after next season huh.....
