Nick Daicos is the GOAT we've never had a player like him.

If you take Dane Swans ball winning ability and burst from stoppages, Pendlebury's vision and decision making, Buckley's leadership and determination to win and his dad's ability to kick a snag youre something close to Nick.

HE literally had 42 and 3 goals this week and you can become desensitised to his brilliance like it was just another game , but my god is he good .

We only wish he had his Dads ability to kick a goal, he wont kick half the goals of Peter. But a fun fact, in Peters last year he kicked 8 against the cats.

One could argue the players association award is more valuable than the coaches award.

Being voted by your peers really shows your true standing in the game, and also shows just how dangerous the opposing teams see you.

The fact that the powder sniffer from geelong didn’t even crack top 5 shows just how much the players really rate him.

Peter was a freak, a unicorn, Nick is great but more of a manufactured player.

Occasionally players peak early and plateau but Nick is such a professional you would not expect this to happen.

Shows how ridiculous it is. Nick has two players hanging off him every week, and still gets more possessions than anybody. but Ed Richards had a better year….? The guy has never been tagged. Tells you everything.

AA is a pretty dogshit affair most years. Find it pretty divorced from a true recognition of the best

Mate, I wasn't saying he was shit

But Nick has set a standard for himself the likes we haven't really seen for a long time.

He spent most of the first half of the season being hard tagged every week and was down on his disposal output. His disposal efficiency also suffered as a result of the hard tag.

He then had an incredible patch after the bye.

Then his form dipped a little again with the teams form dip when we started losing games.

That's why I made the post about having a weird feeling none of our players would make it and thought Nick might still sneak in "becuase he's Nick Daicos"

If he gets in the on the bench, that's basically getting in "because he's Nick Daicos"
