I noticed that too. The four things thing. Is that legal?

According to the AFL.com.au article:

The club has signed Daicos for a four-year deal, which includes two for his standard first contract, which is not unusual for players who commit to clubs as draftees, with father-sons Joe Daniher (Essendon) and Nick Blakey (Sydney) others who have agreed to longer deals when nominating.

Nah this guy goes on ad nauseum about the GWS/Collingwood pick swap and takes weird pot shots at Nick Daicos as well.

The fact that he used to go for Collingwood before he swapped to GWS also leaves a bad taste.
You what? Somebody switched from Collingwood to GWS? No…

I expect us to have close to 2400 points in the bank when it comes time to match, either from deals made in trade week and/or deals tee'd up and ready to go once the bid rolls in, to avoid the issue of losing picks with points due to number of list spaces open.

I hadn't thought of that. After the drafts started, can you trade down for more points and have more point carrying picks than list vacancies?

If so we’d have to get a wriggle on, as it’s the very pointy end of the draft we’re talking about.
