The fella was vital last week as the sub with his hardness at the footy over at Footy Park. We all know how excellent he was today. Clearly commands the respect of his teammates and hasn't been afforded his due respect this year. Sign the man up!

Was fantastic. Love his aggression, love his hardness, love his courage. Need hard edged players like him in our side each week.

Brock couldn't have been more proud of Duigan's performance today, great effort for a guy that has been on the outer all season.

Todays match reminded me of his game against Maxwell/Collingwood last year.

The only problem was that Duigan just couldn't back it up week after week.

It's a really interesting question list management wise... an intelligent guy with decent skills but no world beater.

I think his one saving grace is that he has become really pissed-off this year and that has made him play an angry forceful game style.

Is he best 22 or depth that we regretfully won't use?

Needs to get rid of the Debbie Does Dallas mo, so happy with his performance today.

I wonder if Wayne Carey still wants him dropped.....

NO!! I love the mo!! :)

And I'll be the first to admit Duigs laid a massive egg on my face this arvo...was very worried by his inclusion pre-match and he was absolutely superb.

Hard as a cat's head and no doubt is a leader of men.

Every side needs these guys. Solid and cheap VFL swingmen utilities to fill the gaps between the star players. In very good sides, these guys don't get exposed that often, so they look a million dollars (about the same size as the three year contract we were offering Tim Notting around 2004, if I recall correctly - a guy who would have solved precisely zero of our many problems at the time). But we're patchy, and when we have a shit day at the office, the blame often falls to them.

You have to keep turning them over in the hopes of finding a good one hidden away, but there's room on the list right now for Duigan. He's ahead of at least a couple of others: Davies, Rowe and Laidler for sure.

He laid one on me also, didn't think he had a role in the team but am happy he played the way he did today, 4 goals in a final is huge, almost Hopkins like :thumbsu: !!

I wasn't happy when he was announced as the late inclusion, but he was fantastic today.
Hard at it and took his chances. Fantastic effort.

(not sure that gets him another contract though)

It surely must be some kind of record to miss selection in the 22 named Thursday night, but play, 3 matches in a row. He won't know what to do with himself on this Thursday night if he actually makes the 22! I'll say no more about Duigs. I just love watching him play. And (subject to selection) I'll get to watch him play live on Sat night, albeit I'll be barracking for his enemies— about 6 weeks ago the chances that I'd get to see Nick Duigan play in Sydney, in a final in 2013, would have been less than the chance of the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party winning a spot in the Senate!

I must admit I groaned when I heard he was in for McLean but boy oh boy (wowee) was I eating my words by the end. I've always known he was a fearless competitor but always assumed that was the extent of his skillset, he was fantastic!

Absolutely love this bloke. Melbourne & GWS should be chasing him if they know what's good for them. A seriously determined person, who gives his all and has magnificent leadership traits. **** I was proud of him today.

Would love him as a permanent sub next year. He loves footy, loves the Blues and can play numerous roles. To me it seems kids don't get anything out of being a sub and you only deprive them of a full game. Really think Duigan would suit it perfectly, outrageous to have a permanent sub, but I don't see the harm.

Played the last three games and has been a positive influence on each one.
Love his attitude and attack on the ball. Plays for the jumper and his mates.
One of the few who instinctively shepherds for his teammates. Saw Robbie do that as well.

The tigers wouldn't have spent a second planning for him.

Which is the exact reason why it worked against Collingwood too. I'm not sure he's good enough play well consistently so would still be iffy on giving him a new contract. What's for certain though is he's booked his place for this week.
