I was shocked to find out Nigel is thinking, or is planning, to run federally somewhere in the south for the Liberals...
I'm heartbroken...

Yeah strange. I heard a radio interview with Smart last time I was in Adelaide and he sounded like a real leftie.Originally posted by noddy

Hence he'd probably be a wet liberal, rather than a dry. Meaning, he'll be exactly the same bloody thing as most labor members.
Folks, they're catch all parties - they're exactly the god damn thing these days.

IF it's true thankgod he isn't running for Labor. with a leader like Latham, then the whole parties screwed, although it's a step up from Creane.
Labor made the right choice given their candidates, as Beasley would have been a backward step given he has already had his chances. At least Latham will give a fight (unlike Crean) & if he fails, then I expect Rudd will come in & have a go. We need some decent opposition to keep the Government on their toes.Originally posted by PrideofSA

That could be said for all of the political parties. They should take the Carlton approach & turn over the deadwood!Originally posted by RIPPER_46
Agreed, but the Labor Party would be better off delisting most of their squad and getting some early draft picks.
