Just wondered if anyone in the inner scrotum can answer this. On the website there is a link to the North AFLW page but no link to the VFL team. I'm hoping we can get the VFL team info up somewhere on the NMFC site. It would be great to have the fixture, player profiles, reports etc... all on the same app. when I pop down to Melbourne if the Seniors are out of town I would like to see the VFL team in action. I know I can probably just google it for the info, but it's more about making the VFL team part of NMFC culture and identity. Plus if our firsts are stinking it up it would be nice to get another opportunity for onfield success. I always enjoyed reading match reports from our affiliates.

I've also been looking for the NMFC VFL List that complements our AFL list.

The first match will take place in the second week of the second tier competition with North given an extra week of preparation due to a bye scheduled for the opening round. The 2018 fixture was released on Friday morning and the Roos feature as one of the 15 teams set to compete.

The home-and-away season consists of 21 rounds commencing on April 1, and will run through until August 26, before a month-long finals campaign in the first week of September. In total, North has three byes with breaks also coming at rounds 11 and 20. Eight of the club's 18 games will be at 'home' - the majority of which will be played at Avalon Airport Oval in Werribee. North will play five matches at the venue, with the location of two remaining fixtures to be announced. Potential AFL curtain-raiser matches have been proposed for 2018, and will be confirmed in the new year.

They really need to get Arden St up to a level to host these games. I think they should consider using Princes Park or Coburg's oval rather than Avalon. Anyway I look forward to seeing the team go and will try to get to as many games as I can.

Hi HongKongRoo, Rob from the club's media team here.

We should have the full VFL hub including fixtures, player lists etc up on the site and app within the next week or two. Just waiting for the list to be finalised and we'll have everything updated.

We'll be ramping up coverage of VFL again this year with our standalone team - keep an eye on the site for some player interviews in the coming week, as well as some more squad announcements.

Thanks for your support.

More importantly Rob Dog, will you be training with a player and filming it again this year? All the best for a good year with the meeja team old boy!

Just saw the team list posted on facebook and it reminded me this is a thing, so off to the VFL site to look at the fixture I went. I can't tell you how disappointed I was to learn that all the home games were in ****ing Avalon.

The train station is 5 minutes from the ground.

That is wonderful. It's also another 50 minutes outside of the CBD. I already have to travel 50 minutes to get to an AFL match, I am not traveling almost 2 hours each way for the VFL.

"North Melbourne has received council approval for a $10 million redevelopment of its Arden St headquarters that will transform its home ground into a match-ready venue ahead of the club's entry into the AFLW in 2019.

North lodged its redevelopment plans with the Melbourne City Council late last year and recently received a construction permit.

North CEO Carl Dilena said the club was delighted its blueprint had been given approval."
