I am not convinced we can't replicate what you described.

1. We had an established gun mid inCousins..............we now have an established gun mid in Kerr.
2. Cox came on in leaps and bounds (pun intended) .................NickNat has shown more at 19 yrs than Cox ever did.
3. Glass was starting to develop nicely......................MacKenzie is developing nicely.
4. We got Chris Judd........................ok THAT might be a tad harder to replicate but I see the spread of midfield talent now being better, Ebert, Masten, S Selwood, Shuey plus another low pick mid this year.
5. Hopefully Kennedy, Brown and Le Cras keep on improving as these three look alot better forwards than our last mini rebuild.

People who can't see the development plan unfolding need to open their eyes and have some patience.

who's comparing us to 2002-2004?? clearly we are right were we were in the 2000-2001 era.

and for what it's worth, as i've said many times, i think we are much better placed in 2009 than we were in 2001. what happened then was the recruitment of Chris Judd and the exponential and unexpected improvement from the likes Embley, Cox and Glass... those just aren't things that happen to every club.

But comparing our youngsters this year to the young guys in 2001 and it's a much prettier picture this time round.
