Low is an essential night time album.
Didn't think much of it the first few times. I thought it was way overhyped..i was wrong.
man the songs just get under your skin. works so well as a whole.. or two of the greatest EP's ever. sometimes i feel like the poppy first half or the dark ambient second half.

Always Crashing in the Same Car :hearts:

new song is ok nothing special but great that he has made a new album. His voice sounds as good as ever.

I'm really enjoying the new track. Get's better with every listen. Agree with Smack, video clip isn't great.

The single has me so excited for the album. Produced by Tony Visconti who produced the Berlin trilogy.

I was getting worried we'd never hear from the great man again.

A few years ago (prob 10 now), Rage did a Bowie special where they went through all the clips (starting with Rubberband) and included a few live tracks. It was the first time I listened to Bowie beyond a couple of Best Of type CDs and the obvious radio tracks.

Two songs stood out to me and have become all time favourites, both of which seem frightfully underrated:

Time Will Crawl
Yes it is certainly 80s Synth Pop but this is a songwriting masterpiece. Beautifully crafted and cleverly produced. The film clip is, however, possibly one of the worst ever :).

Be My Wife
This can get stuck in your head for days - instant classic

new track gets better with each listen

It's maybe the only track on the album that goes this much inward for him. It's quite a rock album, the rest of the songs. I thought to myself: 'Why is David coming out with this very slow, albeit beautiful, ballad? Why is he doing this? He should be coming out with a bang.' But he is a master of his own life. I think this was a very wise move, to link up the past with the future, and I think the next thing you hear from him is going to be quite different.

Sound and Vision is my favourite off Low.

Another of my favourites. Zeroes off Never Let Me Down - '87

I think the new single is pretty good, would be right at home on the Heathen album.

Seems pretty certain he's played his last live show, though.

Listened to the album, it's vintage Bowie. The whole album is full of amazing tunes. Already love it to bits
