Have to feel for Noble…tough viewing but he’s handled this beautifully. Has spoken incredibly well and will most definitely have a role in footy in the near future.

If you bothered to follow the conversation - they aren't criticisms. They're things that have happened that Noble really isn't to blame for.

Stop being a triggered supporter.
I bothered to follow just fine. You said they haven’t come on, which is a criticism. Then you backtracked.

Never understood the main board obsession with saying someone is triggered when they disagree with someone else.

The guy stepped into the role and was given a sub-standard list to work with. He tried to instill some standards & discipline amongst them and they have, like the younger generation do these days, sooked up because he spoke to them with some homne truths.

The guy has been reamed here and the Roos deserve no praise and/or help with their current position.

You really didn’t. If you had you’d see it’s a list of things that show why expecting a win-loss improvement this year was folly all in regard to Noble’s expectations.

I wouldn’t lump this in with that as you’re not really disagreeing here. You just shot from the hip on what was a perceived attack on North’s kids.

Carlton have had 3 priority picks in 20 years. North 0. Your opinion is invalid.

I really did. You said they didn’t come on, which is a criticism, whether you agree or not. I am disagreeing, because you don’t seem to understand what is a criticism and what isn’t.

I literally posted a lengthy post a page or two ago about poor development and poor kids not up to it and a million other things wrong with the club and kids, most of which were inherited by Noble.

How do you know what was said though?

Plenty of coaches don’t hold back, yet Noble got criticised for it. I would say that was a him problem, not a sooky players problem

It's strange that North would sack Noble after their best performance of the year against Collingwood, they looked like a different team against them.

Maybe their new coach had already taken over and Noble was just there on the sidelines as a puppet coach with their new coach pulling the strings.
Clarko was on Skype.

Aside from showing dignity, what else does he bring?

He's clearly not a good coach, he's also clearly delusional, and he obviously lacks the ability to self-reflect.

I agree that Gold Coast should be closed down and their licence given to Tassie.
A better option than relocating North for sure.

Oh come on, Noble knew what he was stepping into, good on him for having a crack but footy is a results based industry.

North were always going to be criticised by many here no matter what they did.

Dammed if they did, Dammed if they didn't.

And yes, they are getting a Priority Draft Pick whether we like it or not, Caro said as much Last week.

They need assistance on and off the field, whether they deserve it or not is debatable (I think they do)

Roos is a charlatan. He is comfortably the most overrated and overpaid person in footy. Hiring him has been a disaster for us.
I’d argue that living overseas isn’t particularly conducive to a team like North when he has the role he has. I can categorically tell you as the coach of Melbourne he turned us into a much better club. We went from the debacle of 186 and Neeld to beating Geelong at KP in 2015 and beating hawthorn in 2016.

He was responsible for some very good decisions at the draft and built our club into a much stronger place. So I don’t wholly concur he is a charlatan. I do think however if he is currently paid an advisory role he should be at the coal face at North.

What has my club's draft history got to do with the price of fish in China ??

The Roos gutted their list by prematurely axing some veterans and are now the laughing stock of the competition. The current no.1 draft pick wants to feck off back to SA and they are last on the ladder.

This is none of anyone else's doing, it all falls squarely on the lap of those running the club.

The problem is that on-field assistance in the form of Priority Picks directly negatively impacts other clubs. You're literally pushing other clubs that also are shit, further down the list. It's a ridiculous 'solution'.

Like when Gold Coast and GWS came in, the clubs that were struggling on-field at the time had their rebuilds set back years by being shuffled down the queue in the Draft.

If they need help on-field, the AFL should allow them to bypass the soft cap for a few years. But Priority Picks is just madness for a sporting competition.
