Who was available who we thought would improve our list? Maybe nobody.
The draft. These were players we wanted to pick up cheaply. At a certain point the potential draftees we are targeting become far more attractive. The whole recruitment process is important in the end. The draft is next.
It is just as stupid an argument to say "It's all the clubs fault" as "the club has no fault". There are things that are in the club's control that may have been done differently just as there are variables outside the club's control. In the end Noble has to make calls, rightly or wrongly. But it is abundantly clear that the back up options to the cheap pick ups that we rated are the draftees we are after. If we didn't think we could get our priority target type players with picks 23 and 46 we would have seen different strategies in the trade period.
