Don't get the big deal of NRL origin. They play every year it's not like they have to wait ages to play again. And there's only two teams in it. You've got a 50/50 chance right off the bat. Northerners are weird.

When it's really the only 3 games of Rugby League that matter to most, especially to Queenslanders, it is a massive deal. But nobody South of Queensland seems to get how much it means.

Probably not now but in the mid 2000s it was of higher quality than international games. I don't really care but it is fun being a Victorian barracking for Qld in a pub in NSW, the meltdowns are hilarious. And the papers are ridiculous! When NSW lose you can guarantee the Telegraph will blame the refs more than plugger that Saints dude from here!
