It's nuts to compare NXT women's matches to WWE women's matches. Like there is just a gigantic gulf in heat and interest.

There's no comparison. It actually compares favorably to the Knockouts in 2010-12 TNA. And to a lesser extent the Japanese Women's matches in the 90s.

Nah, I'd say that the NXT womens division is far beyond the Knockouts in their prime. I'd certainly say it's comparable to AJW/ARSION in the 90's with Joshi like Toyota, Aja Kong & Las Cachorras Orientales.

I think the Knockouts in their prime are a better comparison because despite how good the matches have been NXT's women's division is still only 4 women two of which are fantastic and the other two are very good.
Not quite at AJW level but it could be with a few better workers (hell demote Natty, AJ and Paige) and a little more focus.

Once again four women of note and maybe Emma. Not quite up to the 90s Japanese standard. But freaking amazing for an American wrestling company.

Don't forget that they're getting trained by one of the greatest American women's wrestlers in Sara Del Rey. It would be awesome if they trotted her out as like "the final boss of the NXT women's division" like what they would do with Regal. Like make it clear that she is the standard that all NXT women should aspire to reach.


EDIT: Anyone, Knockouts at their prime is still not a fair comparision because TNA still opted to focus on wrestlers like the Beautiful People instead of Hamada, Kong, Sarita & Taylor Wilde.

The fact that Sara is just a trainer is one of the great tragedies in pro wrestling.

Say what you want about their in ring work but The Beautiful People were the most entertaining thing in wrestling at that time. Work rate isn't everything.
