Koch Davies and Ken would rather lose together than break up their little crew.

Its yet another boys club. Both teams look set for a long painful stint I feel. The pure arrogance of the Adelaide (the city as a whole) boys club is on full display as long lunches take priority over running a football club. Adelaide has long had a boys club that had its teeth into the SACA for half a century. You can't help but feel the review of the AFC and Kochie at PAFC have been seduced and the boys club has infiltrated both organisations to such an extent its nothing but long lunches, jobs for the boys and its seen as the failure of one is the failure of everyone so arrogance and entitlement sets in, they dont make changes because it damages their own reputations. So they arrogantly blame fringe decision makers to hide behind.

All professional sports around the world change their coaches quickly if they dont perform. The AFL world seems to have this culture of being scared to sack coaches out of fear of no one is good enough. Better the devil you know type stuff. Its complete crap. If you want to be seen to be elite, you can't baby a person in a position like a coach. Clubs need to start holding coaches to a higher standard.

Especially when AFL coaches are being probably paid $700k+pa on average.....

This isn't some faceless public service gig, you are an elite sport coach.

If you are being paid huge coin, it comes with the territory that you are even more accountable than most.

I get it. I just think its wrong. The results of many clubs sitting on their hands while mediocre substandard coaches are babies through long term contracts while not achieving anything suggests they are wrong having this attitude.
