Do you think the Tasmanian AFL team will ever happen?

I'd love him in our midfield. He is a niggling nasty piece of work that wins games
Don't think Smith is nasty, but he has attitude.

Seems much happier at the Cats.

Even ignoring your very correct response, just on it's own terms it's a dumb comment. We would see a dozen decisions per match where the whistle is blown long after the crowd starts screaming for a free kick. Almost every single HTB decision or insufficient intent decision going in the favour of the crowd is preceded by a loud roar.

Just an idiotic statement to make.
It's also extremely easy to disprove by simply looking at home vs away free kick stats. It's a cold hard fact that the home team, over time, gets more free kicks.

BRL121 - turning into Bicks disagreeing with posts & adding nothing.

Considered a job as a politician lol.
I disagree or agree. Why do I need to add anything in a two-choice situation?

Anyway, he has been through two processes and received two sets of penalties. Isn't that enough?
I think his lawyers would have a field day with you coming over the top and arbitrarily adding a third because you are unhappy with the previous two!

The AFL have handed down bigger penalties for far, far lesser incidents.

He has been convicted of assault, which deserves a huge penalty. He's lucky not to be in jail.

The AFL have been pathetic on this.

The AFL were harsher on the Giants players' dress-ups than they were on a player who committed assault, especially as Balta's suspension was club-imposed. Not like the league to get the priorities all wrong, not at all.

Absolutely!

Balta has been convicted of common assault that put an innocent person in hospital.

He should have got the biggest ever penalty.

Apparently poor humour dress ups is more serious than thuggery.

****ing clueless muppets!

Not to get everyone excited but this is interesting

Last year's Lions the exception.

Given the winner needs finals experience, it's a race in 3 between Pies, Lions & Giants.

Watching this version of Footy Classified for the first time

Jeez Eddie McGuire is painful to watch. Incoherent, waffles on, talks in his usual blokey cliches..

Might just be the last time

I was reading something yesterday that said we hadn't heard he whole story. That Balta was defending (a mate/brother) in this situation and it wasn't what it's being painted as. I think we need to take the possibility of media manipulation (misinformation) when it comes to these types of things.

Looks like he has come and intervened and completely demolished that guy
Balta is very very lucky, that guy was inches from suffering the same fate as David Hookes smashing his skull on the pavement

Would be a very different story obviously if that was the case

The whole story has come out

Yes there were some issues between his brother and other patrons INSIDE the venue

The assault was well after the situation had been mediated and cooled down INSIDE the venue. The party in opposition to his brother was OUTSIDE - Balta then made extra effort to physically confront the person who was defenceless

There was no allegation of assault by this person towards Baltas brother - more verbal

Does anyone remember when Doedee against North one time got hit in the head in the marking contest he passed the concussion test but the AFL told us he was still going into concussion protocols and would miss the next game, the same thing happened to Chelsea Randall in a prelim and it made her miss the Grand final...... Have the AFL stepped in and told any other clubs players "we're placing them in concussion protocols" ??? In particular with the lawsuit up coming do you think they might do it more often? I'm honestly shocked they haven't told Curtin he has to sit out the week even though he played out the game.

Good question!

From memory it was "the optics" of the Doedee one given as the reason they chose to act

Very rubbery

If that's the case, I wonder why they haven't stepped in more with other incidents, if they a trying to prove they "care about head injuries"

because the "optics" of a few incidents could have resulted in them telling clubs to sit a player but it seems only Adelaide has ever been told to do it, and they've done it twice.

Darcy Moore is out of the next match with an "inner ear issue". His coach is adamant that it has nothing to do with the head knock he received that left him with bleeding from the ear! ;)
