In the 4th, it felt like 10,000 more dropped in from the roof climb & the morton bays!Thought it looked rammed once the game started.
So Gold Coast saying they’ll match any bid for King, how do they have the cap space to be able to threaten that?
Plus at some stage they’ll ship of Mac Andrew and pick 10 freeing up a lot more cap. They only have one player signed more than 3 seasons into the future. We have five for comparison
Which also means they can’t afford to tie up a shit load of cap on one player, they’ve got a team full of stars and potential stars who will all want to be paid. They only have one player signed more than 3 seasons into the future. We have five for comparison

Yeah I use the corners of the Riverbank to judge fullness - most of those are the General Admission and Interstate Supporters seatsOh, yes it did.
The edges and top few rows of the Western Stand, River bank and members were all packed. The hill was also packed as well.
When we get below 40,000 you can see lots of empty seats in the Riverbank and members area.
We are completely unsure how to connect with the forwards. We might dominate and not score. If Essendon play to form this year, it'll be the one who runs up a cricket score against them.
As you say, they couldn't pressure.

Weve scored over 180 points in 2 games against a very good defensive side and the best starting midfield in the game, after playing about an hour of good footy. We are completely unsure how to connect with the forwards. We might dominate and not score.
I wonder if the crowd starts holding things up at what point they’ll have spare balls around the boundary, so if it goes in the crowd they can just play on like they do from the goalsEveryone jumping on always Keays with the AFL saying not to do it again… I think is, fair?
People are saying they’ll dress up as opposition supporters to give their team 50s etc are missing the points. Obviously the free/50 isn’t for the fans actions but for the player instructing someone from the crowd. Pretty easy to tighten it up with a rule (no player should direct the crowd) or whatever. Can also use it if a player taunts or abuses fans so I’m surprised it doesn’t exist already.
West AdelaideSo ...because a Club decides to backend a player's Contract .....it has changed his Free Agency status to "An Unrestricted Free Agent" ......surely an unintential consequence by the EAGLES
I think this is a typo ....they mean unrestricted rather than restricted

West AdelaideBecause it apparently then put him into the top 10 paid players at the Club .....rather than the last year being used as the trigger, I would have thought the Contract average over it's life would be the correct path of determinationWhy would back ending a contract make you unrestricted?
Absolutely true. All AFL rules, both on field and off and set up to be manipulated so that a desired outcome can be reached. They like the rules which are vague where the free could be paid either way, as it allows them to influence games easier...
There were numerous times where the same play resulted in different decisions on the weekend's game.
Hilarious if that is what they are going with. Would not have been 40,000 there. Empty seats everywhere. 36,000 looked correct.
If Pendlebury had done it the media would be full of stories about how smart he is and what a great tactic it was...Everyone jumping on always Keays with the AFL saying not to do it again… I think is, fair?
