It all depends on what you're used to. When you're used to a daily temperature range of -4 to 12C (a typical Canberra winter day), and you go somewhere where it varies from 7 to 18C (a typical Adelaide winter day), you really feel quite warm. Adelaide residents would still feel quite cold though.
The poms whinge about it being hot any time the temperature goes above 20C... 3 days of 22C is a heatwave for them.
