I dont believe any of that.

Our national media is all based in Melbourne, and 50% of the league is from Melbourne with 63% of the league from Victoria. So the media caters to that sub section as each other state has their own media which covers local matters.

So with a media bias going towards these clubs, people get caught up in it all.

I dont think the league or umpires really cares, or there's a bias. It's just when something is building, the media builds it up and builds it up, and then it's like an avalanche, there's no stopping it. And everyone gets caught up in the story and it controls things.

I honestly feel that with the exception of North Melbourne (just not enough fans to cause that avalanche) any Victorian team coming out after years in the dark will get this type of treatment. But I don't believe the cause is bias from those associated with the league. It's caused by the talking heads on all the tv shows we see mid-week.

If the AFL could have their way, they'd probably want every grand final to have a Sydney or SE Qld team in the GF to chip into Rugby heartland and grow the game. Get more fans, more viewers, more subscribers, more money.

And umpires? You'd have to be ****ing corrupt (I'm looking at you Troy Pannell) to be bias.

Correct, but goal umpire called it touched so it was always going to be a point.

This wasn't umpires call though. The video reviewer said "looking at this we can see the Carlton player touches the ball before it crosses the line" when really there was no evidence to suggest this, no clear deflection, no fingers going back. The hand was in the vicinity and he guessed. It's so ****ing amateurish.

I mean you look at the footage (normal speed, slow motion, whatever) and the ball is clearly not dislodged in the tackle
