Can we play Naughton as a defender?

Freeing up Naughton to play as an intercepting third man, a position I can't believe the Bulldogs refuse to try him in.
Not completely against it
But he finished the season on fire up fwd this year. Last 9 games averaged 14 possies 7 marks and 4 goals a game
Supposedly he was the one who complained about playing as a backman and wanted to play as a forward.

Good on him now but that was back when he couldn't kick a goal to save his life and they had Darcy + JUH in there.
Considering they brought back the ghost of Liam Jones to play as a KPD, and how they've desperately tried to trade for one, it was a bit of a n-brainer to play him there instead of having 3 KPFs.
The last few years they've had tall forwards coming out of their ears and a desperate need for a quality KPD - not that wild a suggestion to take their least reliable set shot, who played as a backman as a junior and is a fantastic contested mark and see if you can rob Peter to pay Paul.

Trucko just wants Bevo to play Naughton back so Busslinger can continue to not get a game and we can finally swoop in and grab him.
They were bereft of tall forwards for so long too - basically Chris Grant era until now
Two blokes not being able to budge his choke hold at all is still too good.
