Why would they trot it out for this one random occurrence for the historically bad last placed team instead of using it in other instances, perhaps this one here where they were trying to get a bloke away from a long finals ban?

He’s clearly said it, realised he’s overstepped, then flagged it before anyone else did. Why would they invent that element of the story and apply it to Jack Graham of all people.
