Absolutely and I have no issue if others have a different view, we don't live in North Korea afterall.

My beef is with the people that came out last year and put in their 2 cents worth when it was not required, and the 2 cents worth often read just like a post on the HTB. Kudos to those that either bit their tongue or stayed impartial in the media throughout despite what their personal thoughts may be. For me, those people that mouthed off and their clubs can piss off. It's a shame as I didn't mind the dogs over recent seasons (once guys like Libba, Romero etc were gone) but Gordon has fractured that one big time.

Koch was another, which is a damn shame. I have a lot of respect for his part in helping get Port back on track so quickly. That and Gus joining them made me want Port to do ok. Then old Dave had to open his uninformed trap. That made it harder for me to wish them well.

Conflicted.
 
In case you have forgotten, the nature of Gordon's comments was to act as a spokesperson for the the 17 other presidents, in which he confirmed their incredible and hugely surprising desire to see this shit sorted out without it going into the court system. It was a huge shock to literally everybody without a brain and it is worth still being upset with Gordon if you are a dummy.

It was more utter common sense than brown nosing. Nobody in the AFL industry wants something taken to court, unless it directly affects them negatively. It's a stupid thing to get upset over. Focus on the equalisation stuff if you want to dislike Gordon
 
It was the last chance an AFL club will ever have to thoroughly challenge and expose this AFL administration.

Gordon, representing Footscray and 16 other AFL clubs, actively sought to stop it. They didn't need to cause an uprising and support our cause; they could've simply played a passive role and allowed Essendon and the AFL to fight it out.

Gordon went above and beyond in heaping even more public pressure on Essendon, and strengthened the PR case to paint them as villains.

This had a significant influence on the outcome of our battle, and ultimately, cost us our place in the finals.

I think the hatred's warranted.

Phone - No issue with Gordon at the president's meeting, though he remarked about the club on another one or two occasions.

It's got me beat why there is so much discussion about less wealthy clubs. Surely there isn't that much to say.
