If it's a golden goal, what if one team scores 6 behinds, and the other team scores a goal, and they win, but the score is still actually a draw? Or better yet, one team scores 7 behinds, and a team scores a goal, and they win, even though on the scoreboard, they have one less point?

2017 premier Essendon 13.14 92 defeats Hawthorn 12.21 93 with a golden goal after scores were locked at the end of extra time at 12.14 86.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

You dont need to pass comments on a public forum - Why do you need to tell the whole world that you love and support your partner - And you do it on social media which is full of extremists and crackpots - Weird !

Why can't she tell the whole world? Are you really saying that partners should be, as Johnathon Brown put it, muzzled? That is ridiculous and awful.

Golden goal just makes sense.

As what you state above is 100% destined to happen. Imagine a ball up on a teams goal square. You'd have 22 blokes going up to punch it over. It'd be an absolute farce

Is that any different to 5 seconds left in regular time and the same thing happening?

Posting something for their friends and family to like and leave comments at? A show of support? Why cant she write something? Why shouldn't she? Through fear that it makes her husband look weak?

I struggle to see why the comments are aimed at B.Cotchin and not Browny after comments like this-

“We get great support from our partners and our loved ones. They’re there to support you at home, through the tough times, which is great, they do a fantastic job the girls, but they need to stay out of it publicly."

Stay out of the public space because you make me look weak. I'm embarrassed to be supported publicly by a woman. Its the same crap about men having to be seen to be strong, god forbid a male has to speak about his problems.

Great work by everyone involved. Shows really we haven't come that far at all.

Buckley, a Brownlow and Norm Smith medallist and six-time best-and-fairest winner at Collingwood, had been retired as a player for just 18 months and had been offered the senior coaching job at the under-siege North Melbourne, which was under new control and had parted with Dean Laidley.

Malthouse, coach of the Magpies since 2000, had made the three previous finals series but not a Grand Final since 2003.

The 2009 season had reached round 17. Collingwood had the Friday night fixture. It defeated Carlton at the MCG for its 11th win of the year.

The next morning at 8am, five men – McGuire, Malthouse, Buckley, Collingwood's CEO Gary Pert and footy operations boss Geoff Walsh – gathered for toasted sandwiches, coffee and orange juice in McGuire's business offices opposite the MCG.

About an hour in to the meeting, Malthouse and Buckley were left together to thrash out McGuire's bold plan for the future – Malthouse to stop coaching the club, no matter what was to happen, at the end of 2011, and for him to then act as a coaching director while Buckley was to take over as head coach.

About 11pm the following Monday, Malthouse signed off on the deal, and an excited McGuire went public the next day.

Now Damo, if only there was some kind of phrase or expression to sum up the situation you described....

If Jim Carey was to open a door.......then it would mean Hird should stand down and Boomer is awesome

Interest in Chris Mayne ey?

What does he actually do?
If you asked me in 2013 I would have said he's the perfect small forward with great kicking skills, good hands, smart crumber and puts on heaps of pressure. Nowadays he's Kommer-like.

We could always have him shame Joey.

"You call that a shank? Let me show you my barn door avoidance special!"

You support your partner through thick 'n' thin, but it doesn't have to be made public - We may hear from Goodes partner!

My thoughts on the issue have nothing to do with gender - You are the one discussing gender - Think about it ! My posts are consistent with my theme, that one needs to be careful how they use social media.

Doesn't have to be, sure. But by the same token...

Who cares if it is?

Quite a few people it would seem. This is the point being made, the argument isn't that's it's right or wrong, but whether it's actually done anything to help Trent, obviously it hasn't.

Today's sliding door for us: If BJ keeps this up then even if Watson and Heppell return in 2017, there will need to be a discussion about captaincy.

Ah that happens every year Damo.

If BJ keeps this up then Damo is still a flog

Goddard's not playing out of his skin either, so by 'keeps this up' is he just referring to the act of actually being captain on a week to week basis?
