Unless there's a draw, three teams above us at the start of the round will lose this week. We just need to take care of our own business
Hoping for a big win for Adelaide and a win for Collingwood. Could be top four on Monday - the big loss for Hawthorn isn't needed for us to go above them but the percentage hit would be a nice little bonus.

30 minutes of once in a season footy against the Swans has kept GWS in it. 6 of their last 8 quarters have veered between bad to absolutely shocking.
That 30 minutes is a little annoying tbh.

It'd just be nice to be a game ahead of some team that doesn't have a percentage of 120+* and probably won't lose again until the last round.

*technically Gold Coast don't meet this requirement but I'm counting them as they have a game in hand against Essendon.

Oh for sure, but trying to think positively, we should be a game ahead of GWS come Sunday if we play anywhere near our best footy. They still have a trip to the Gold Coast in two weeks' time so they probably only win 2 of their final three. The Saints fixture in Round 23 is no gimme either.

The difference between this scenario and the Dogs losing tonight is that while we probably still need 16 to be absolutely safe, we can at least compete with GWS on percentage now. Not that it's our forte but it gives us another viable avenue to pull ahead of a team around the 5-8 mark.
