Had an argument earlier this week with a couple of Norf flogs on FB about which player is better ? Paul Curtis or Murphy Reid

Curtis is a reasonable player but nowhere near on Reid's level, especially as MR is a first year player.

I don't like to indulge in Norf bashing like most other flogs, but Murphy Reid is having an amazing first season for the ages, racking up historical goal assist numbers for a 19 year old .

Richmond had 3 opportunities to draft him and fluffed them all #lol

I don't think Rankine's sins deserved missing the entire finals series, it unfairly punishes the fans and his teammates.

2 weeks for a first offensive and a massive fine to go to an LGBT charity would have been the punishment I would have handed out.

Still it's a shame. The best player from the best team is likely to miss the entire finals cause of ignorance and bad discipline

But we have had too many embarrassing homophobic slurs from AFL players over the years, so if this suspension to Rankine helps cut it out entirely, i support the decision

(I still don't reckon it will do anything to stamp out homophobia in crowds sadly, always be * knuckle bigots there)
